McDonald's — Restaurant in City of Olean

Bottom line no one knows what really happened with the girl who got fired but there's a huge hole in the story society has chosen to ignore because McDonald's is corporate. Corporate haters are going to hate one way or another. This girl's accusations just sparked a fire for her five minutes of fame that quickly died out after people who've never sat at this particular restaurant chose to review this store based on a young girl's story. The fact is this store was under bad management. I have personally seen the improvement and growth now that they've changed management. I see police and even a solider in his greens have their meals paid for no questions asked just done. Unfortunately those people have not got on to speak up about their free meals. Is it a perfect restaurant? No, not even close. You don't come here for the five star quality, you come in because the people behind the counter are youngsters just trying to get by in life. Something the young girl didn't take into consideration when she realized this was a quick way for her to make some money after being fired she left all the other young teenagers, some with kids, to clean up her mess and keep things going. This store is in need of a remodel with more trash cans. If you come in during the morning you'll find the trash build up isn't a lack of changing it but a lack in number of cans. There was a young girl they had in their lobby who didn't clean much I watched her go and I watched them bring in a new girl take her place. Every time I see her in the lobby are she is on her hands and knees scrubbing and cleaning she's a real sweetheart, or she's behind the counter she knows my order, just at a glance of me. I have gotten the wrong order through drive-thru countless times but when I see a new face staring at me out the window I know they're bringing in these new people this summer to improve on a previously understaffed store. How can I be mad at someone on their first maybe second day. Bill is the nicest guy and the new manager, constant encouragement from him is what I hear when I wait in line. The younger manager Carman is just a sweetheart, when your order is wrong she goes beyond just fixing it. I can't say I care much for the manager called Brandie I've yet to catch her on a good day. This isn't the most disappointing McDonalds out there and it sickens me to hear these welfare men standing in line complaining about the service. Well young man these teenagers are working to not only serve your food but to give you that welfare check to pay for your food. It's amazing how much nicer the young men who come in that are a bit more wealthy. I had always grown up believing the poor were humble. But I suppose that is Olean for you. Now I have a thing or two more to say about this store but I won't bore you with more of my ramblings. Just know this. It's fast food serviced by youngsters. It's not going to be five star. you won't have it in less then five minutes when the line is out the door at lunch or dinner hours. It won't always be right. But it's not worth getting mad about. And a store should never be judged by people who read a one sided article and have never once stepped foot inside. Why do I feel so strongly to write such a lengthy review, a billion years ago I worked for KFC it may have been simpler in that day and age but I understand the work a person puts into it. Yelling at the girl or boy taking your money isn't going to make the girl or boy in the back making your food do any better it's just going to hurt the young person at the register, who had no part in putting the food together. If you have a job out there you will understand what it means to put in so much hard work and still have things go terribly, terribly wrong. You want to hate on corporate go ahead but remember who's employed by them, who isn't them. Good work on your improvements Bill I hope to continue to see this store improve and get another main...

I'd give it 0 if I could waited in like 15+ minutes food was old and cold they forgot my FRIES the guy at the window didn't even look at me or tell me my total just stuck his hand out when I called in to speak to a manager I was told I was speaking to him let's keep this part simple say you could of fooled me very unprofessional and uncaring. If I had names I'd report to corporate but the "manager" refused to give his name or the employees...ill sum this up by saying I'm surprised this place is still aloud to remain open after going inside the next day to address the issues the inside of the store was dirty bathroom smelled like straight urine and had actuall stains on the toilet, when I approached the counter after unfortunately using that bathroom 2 employee's where talking very loudly about illegal drugs and the one I assumed and letter found out was indeed the manager was yelling at her grill guy to hurry the hell up o.O but not once well I stood there for almost 10 minutes waiting to talk to someone did she go back there and help him. In the end I walked out and gave up but hopfully with as many honest reviews such as mine this nasty place with be shut down or at least fixed up (building...

My order is usually haphazardly slapped together with not nearly enough of any ingredient (I’ve paid for extra sauce and they put hardly anything on it, don’t bother), I’ve been here six times and have been disappointed every time. Once in the drive through I watched the customer ahead of me leave with their food, but without paying. I used to come in when I worked for DoorDash, the store usually smells awful, like they mopped with a dirty mop or the toilets overflowed.

The last time, I pulled into the parking lot and ordered through the app, a sandwich and a large fry. I go through the drive through, where they give me the sandwich and tell me the frys didn’t go through. I show them my order receipt and offer to come inside to talk about it, the manager comes up and she tells me since they don’t see the frys with my order I won’t be getting them. Don’t want to make anyone else behind me wait so I accepted the loss and left. Last straw, I won’t be back.
