This post is intended to prevent a situation such as ours. If you have a food allergy (peanut or tree nut allergy), beware of cross contamination! Due to his severe, life threatening nut allergies, my child asked if there were any nuts or nut oils in what he ordered as he always does when eating out. The restaurant said no. After eating take out from this restaurant, he immediately had an allergic reaction that sent him to the hospital by ambulance and required him to be on meds for several days thereafter. This could have been a result of cross-contamination as when confirming with management what he ordered did not have any nut or nut oil ingredients. He has eaten at restaurants many times and fortunately there has never been an issue as many are very aware of the many food allergies that exist more so these days then ever before. Extra precautions are usually taken when you tell them of a food allergy. We have reached out to management to alert them of the seriousness of cross contamination. This could be a matter of life or death as in my son's case. They responded to my call immediately and expressed their concern, but I don't know if they will take seriously the need to take extra precautions. In further reviewing this restaurant they have been cited with cleanliness issues in the past. Fortunately my son is ok given he had an Epi-Pen on hand and he received medical assistance immediately. My hope is this will alert this restaurant to take extra precautions in their cooking areas and prevent any future occurrences to someone else or...
Read moreI have always been obsessed with Lakeview! Probably ordered there once a week or 3x a month. Spending a minimum of $ 30. They stopped delivering so I haven't been able to order as much. I finally decided to order pick up tonight. So excited to have their amazing food! Got home...we all sat down to eat and no one (including me) was happy with the food we had received!!! All Lo Mein tastes different (less flavor...distorted) we ordered chicken and vegetable Lo Mein. The sweet &sour sauce is like a fake version now. The teriyaki chicken has always been my favorite too. Now it is dry, no sauce and seems more like a dry rub was added not the teriyaki flavoring I so love! I will not be ordering from them again for a long time...spent over $50 on food I likely won't even eat as leftovers as I typically like to do. 4 of us all incredibly disappointed with our meal tonight!!! BTW if you don't deliver then correct your website!!! They need to bring back the previous owners immediately!!! This place is going to go down with the new owners. Facts! They have screwed everything up. No business No...
Read moreFantastic lo-buck east-coast chinesamerican food. The order I placed on the app linked to from their website didn't seem to have registered in their system, so when I arrived, I switched my order to 'for here.' I noticed the owner was trying his hand at waiting tables, and long-unattended customers were panickily vying for his attention as more noisy families poured through the door, unaware of the chaos they were about to cause/witness. I think I may have mild ptsd from being on the road for a week, so I switched my order back to 'to go,' and am peacefully gnawing on the leathery gen'l tso's across the street at my hotel, with one of the Oceans movies playing silently on the muted television. Anyways, am I the only one who thinks Julia Roberts always seems sort of uncomfortable? Yes, I am running on nothing but fumes and a...
