Hubby is always on the hunt for a legitimate Mexican restaurant, after living in Mexico for 6 months, he knows what he’s looking for and Tex-Mex won’t cut it. While traveling on the NYS Thruway we found Cinco de Mayo II on the Waze map and gave it a shot. It was outstanding food, and hubby was impressed! I had a Chili Relleno as an app, then a chicken Torta. It was cooked through but not dried out, I wished I had selected something more exciting for my mouth though. Hubby got the Taco de Carnitas and was very pleases to see corn tortillas as an option. Finally he found authentic flavors and presentation of real Mexican food in NY! We half joked on our way home from our trip, about stopping back at Cinco de Mayo again, but it would have been quite a bit of a detour on that leg of the trip. We will go back again though, any time we’re traveling the Thruway in that area!

The only negative was when we were trying to get our check and pay it, the young man at the counter was more interested in his phone conversation, than in checking us out. That was the only disappointment we had at...
