THEY CHARGE $2.50 FOR ICE CUBES - We decided to go to Bridie Manor for dinner. We had been there many years ago. We started out having a drink at the bar. That was fine. Then we went into the dinning room to have dinner. Half of the dinning room tables were set the other half looked like they had just gotten done with a party and kind of took away the ambiance of the place. We ordered an appetizer and mine was very good. The evening went downhill from there very quickly. I ordered Fillet Mignonette and ordered it medium as per the menu (hot pink center). When it came it was raw..... We waited for the waitress to come back (about 10 minutes) and I sent it back to be cooked more (about 10 minutes more). By the time I got it back (and still raw) my husband was just about done with his meal. I did not want to send it back again. If he had waited for me his would have been cold. When the waitress came back I just asked her to give me a to-go box and I would cook it when I got home. Then we went to the bar to have an after dinner drink. I ordered a B&B on the rocks. They actually charged me $2.50 for 3 ice cubes. After a couple days I went back to ask if we were overcharged. I talked to the manager/owner I think and they charge for ice cubes if you have an after dinner drink on ice. Supposedly because they put more than a shot in. I watched him when he put the drink on ice and it was just a shot. The B&B tasted old. When I explained to him about our meal he said “So what do you want me to do about it” No apology or anything. He went back in his office and after about 5 minutes sent out 4 free drink chips. Like I would really go back there. He was just very rude. All the rest of the employees were wonderful. So, after spending close to $150.00 on crappy food and crappy drinks I learned a lesson not to EVER EVER go back again. As a foot note, I should have known because on 6pm on a Saturday there was hardly anyone there. Plus when I went back at noon a couple days later there was no one there. I give...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible! group of 14, reservations weeks in advance, seated at the wrong reserved table moved to the correct table, took 15 minutes to have drink order taken with 2 waitresses, one for each side of the table, the two sides of the table were served drinks more than 15 minutes apart. Party on the other side of the room was playing music in opposition to the house music, dining area was cold. When the food was served, again the two sides of the table were served at separate times (30 minutes apart) more than 5 orders were very wrong, 4 were cold and needed to be returned to the kitchen. When the orders were corrected only half the meal was served as the garlic mashed weren't ready yet (seriously? and those who did get mashed said they were inedible) after everyone had left the table the potatoes were finally brought out. Of the 3 Italian fiesta meals 2 needed replacements for lasagna, so they substituted 3 cheese sticks all absent of cheese. The salads were skimpy and wilted with a tiny sliver of tomato in each and of the 14 salads only two had 1 crouton each. Four salads were served with the wrong dressings. As for the quality and flavor of the meals, disgusting. The broccoli was clearly over microwaved; hard & dry, they served broiled fish cold, prime rib and new york strip cooked wrong. Will never return. The entire special occasion meal should have been written off as waste and it still cost me $200 with the deal I made with management, I am still cringing about paying for a horrible meal, lousy service and coming home to feeding all 14 people who were still hungry at an additional expense! On top of everything else some of the waitstaff had bad attitudes when nicely and calmly told there were mistakes made! The entire fiasco took over 2 hours to endure... DO NOT DINE HERE AND CERTAINLY DON'T PUT A SPECIAL EVENT IN THEIR HANDS! I originally wanted to go to Azteca and should not have...
Read moreBar none the single worst meal I’ve ever had in the city of Oswego. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Father in law wanted prime rib for his birthday dinner and chose Bridie as the restaurant. He’d been looking forward to it for weeks.
We arrived at 5:30 or so, ordered our food, waited an hour just for celery and carrots.
Another 45 minutes passes, we get our wings and appetizers. Wings are undercooked. Pink in the middle. French Onion soup has too many onions, is far too heavy.
45 minutes pass again. Prime rib is cold, and well done, NY Strip is well done, both no where near medium rare. Prime rib is sent back, waitress says they cook the prime rib in advance and heat it up, so how was it cold? Chances are it wasn’t made fresh today. Also doesn’t excuse the overdone NY Strip. Garlic mash potatoes are inedible. Way to much garlic.
Menu says garlic bread sticks are included with every entree, turns out that’s a lie, they don’t do that anymore.
Prime rib comes back, is still cold, we get it to go because we’ve been here for 3 hours and want to go home.
Waitress was nice, obviously overworked and tired.
Parking lot wasn’t salted and was slippery so I nearly slipped on my way out.
Worst restaurant in Oswego. Go to Canale’s or Vona’s instead. Hell, go to Burger King and you’ll be...
