Letās begin with the intricate, antique, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere you step into as you descend the stairs into Prohibition⦠the space is luxurious and the vibe is laid back. There are several rooms- the somewhat conventional coffee shop style sipping area which includes a regulation height dart board, a lounge/ game room for a comfy gathering and a work room for the digital nomads (complete with plenty of charging stations and a printer!) We came in to purchase a pound of the blueberry cinnamon coffee and got a free QP of decaf Jamaican Me Crazy. The owner Brian was really friendly as we stepped in just a few minutes to closing, he told us about the space and his locally sourced beans as well as local made gift items for sale as he ground our beans just right for our coffee maker. Our friend ordered an iced coffee and when Brian broke out a pan full of coffee ice cubes, I knew that this place didnāt just look nice but the coffee is next level. Iāve been to so many coffee shops all over the US and ordered probably hundreds of iced coffees yet never until today have I seen this level of coffee genius. I cannot wait to return with my laptop and grab a fresh latte or iced coffee for myself. Oswego boasts some really nice coffee shops but Iām certainly most impressed by the new shop in town-...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my new favorite coffee spot! The owner is so nice and obviously has a passion for what he does. The coffee is always incredible and the blueberry muffin is delicious. He has a set menu of lattes and changes out other stuff frequently, so there's always something to try. So far, my favorite is the thin mint. He's also very accommodating of dietary needs and offers a few milk alternatives!
The shop itself is very cute and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. He also has little conference rooms set up with wifi where you can sit and use your laptop, have a meeting, etc.
Plus you get to meet Ellie, employee extraordinaire! She is the cutest, sweetest little pup, and clearly takes her job as brand ambassador very seriously.
I'm so happy this place is within walking distance of where I spend my summers! Can't recommend it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stumbled upon this coffee house by accident and I'm very glad I did. It's so unassuming and if not for the sign outside next to the sidewalk, I may have missed it, but once you see the 2 illuminated "open" signs, you can't miss it. When you walk in, you're greeted with a truly cool, almost castle-like atmosphere. It has the feel of almost like a pirate ship/castle/hobbit house with a very laid back owner who greets you right away. There are no pretentious vibes here. Prices are fair and most importantly, the coffee and pastries here are both above average! I HIGHLY recommend this...
