I wish that there was a star rating for value. I gave the food 3 stars, but if I could have given a rating on value it would be a 4 star on food and 2 on value. I ordered a seaweed salad for 4 bucks and got a tiny side dish of the seaweed salad. I got a small Chasu Tonkatsu Ramen for 16.95.
The ramen noodles were slightly overcooked, that’s fine if only it wasn’t close to 20 bucks by itself. The bowl of soup was small.
Maybe it’s me, but some of the restaurants out there are still trying to pass off smaller portions of food for prices that simply don’t match their offerings. It’s also cafe style, so it’s not like you’re even sitting down and being waited on.
I will say that the staff was very friendly and they deserve a 5 star rating.
Final thoughts, if you’re ok with paying for overpriced food, go ahead and give it a go I guess.
FYI I went for a sushi fix and decided on Ramen because the offerings were minimal as they do NOT have a wide variety of sushi. And the sushi was overpriced as well.
Updated 9/12/25 Ended up here again by way of having to wait for my movie time at the theater down the street. I figured I’d give it a try again. This time I found the food to be tasty, however, there seems to be ongoing portion size issues again. When your total comes to 20 bucks for a meal and you’re left hungry, something is wrong.
I ordered the deluxe poke bowl over rice, and received the equivalent of an appetizer at best. The biggest question I have for the restaurant is why skimp on the rice? Rice is cheap. It’s one of your kitchen’s main ingredients so you should always have enough on hand to make sure your guest’s are satisfied. I was...
Read moreI was very excited to try this place because I absolutely love ramen and sushi. And I was totally rooting for them. Not sure about all the good reviews bc unfortunately, we couldn't have been more disappointed😔 I can't say anything about the in house experience or the sushi experience bc my husband and I both got ramen and did takeout. The packaging was ok and it wasn't inedible, (not rotten or anything), but it was not good AT ALL. And we were starving so if it was going to taste good at all, that's when it would have. It cost over $30 for a Two small bowls of gray soup with NO FLAVOR, a half of an egg, about a spoonful of corn, and 2 pieces of dry pork. Not appetizing at all in looks or taste and left us still hungry. Maybe the sushi is great but we probably wouldn't try based on...
Read moreThis is such a beautiful little restaurant located in the middle of downtown Oswego. I have gone at least once a week since they opened. The spicy California rolls are the best I've had in Oswego. Their pork dumplings are also very good. Plenty of filling. Their bubble tea is very refreshing as well. I'm not a huge ramen noodle fan, but I did try their Miso ramen noodle bowl once and it was very good as well. The owner is very nice and the atmosphere is super relaxing and inviting for such a small restaurant. Update: Still going strong since day one. Ate in their dining area again for lunch today. Their taro milk tea is my new favorite. Still a fan of their spicy California rolls and spicy pork dumplings. Cannot recommend this spot enough. Also uploaded some...
