I periodically hike in High Point State Park. I always enjoy a post hike beer. First stopped here at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 and got take out food and growlers. Just camped in High Point this weekend and luckily was actually able to stop by for a flight. My friend and I tried a variety of beers. I really enjoyed the Dark Pastures milk stout. It was creamy, malty, with chocolate/coffee notes and a touch of sweetness. Reminded me of a fall day. The food was great. My friend got a sausage, carrot, and crispy Brussel sprout bowl. Came with a homemade ranch. The ranch had a great dill flavor. I got the Mexican street sausage. It had a chipotle sauce with grilled corn and cilantro on a hoagie roll. The fries were fresh cut. Def high quality fresh ingredients. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with the exposed brick. It was a chill spot. What I like about the NY breweries unlike NJ is that you can also get a cocktail or mixed drink if you don’t like beer. DK, Sean/Shaun/Shawn?, and Naomi were attentive and helpful. Can’t wait...

Party of three, seated very quickly on a busy Saturday. Place was loud, but in a white noise sort of way- I had no trouble speaking to my party and hearing the waitress. Seating was good, menu is limited but varied- Don't go here expecting just a basic burger (check their menu online first).
Food was delicious, pretzels were clearly made (not reheated frozen). Sly Fox Burger was awesome, and cooked to order properly (other members of the party enjoy food well, well, wellll done). Drinks were good.
Negatives: Menu did not really mention items were basically a la carte'. Waitress did not either. So, we got burgers that arrived as just burgers, no fries or anything. (Thankfully we got the pretzels to start). While waitress was present often, I made several requests to purchase some merchandise, which were ignored- I had to ask a different waitress once the meal was completed in order to get my Crowler& Growler.
Overall: If you're in the area and want something different but...
Read moreWe did a weekend in the Catskills and took the scenic route through Hawks Nest which put us in Port Jervis. My wife did a quick search and we were 2 blocks from this place. There was plenty of FREE parking right on the street on a Sunday afternoon.
You enter on the side that mainly houses the brewery equipment. There is a large bar with many tables on the other side. We were able to grab a couple of stools at the end of the bar. The bartenders were very attentive. We didn't eat but person next to use was having a brussel sprouts dish that looked really good. We started talking with him and it was fried brussel sprouts in a buffalo sauce.
I ended up trying pretty much all of their beers except the Pilsner as they were out. They had a semi-sweet cider on tap from a brewery in Warwick, NY. My wife ended up getting that. I had the milk stout as well as having my growler filled with it. All of the beers were flavorful but not over done. My wife joked that we would have to come up for an over nighter so we...
