Venture Inn Bar — Restaurant in City of Port Jervis

I had a decent experience at this establishment, once, but it really proved to me that it's who you know that makes the place. Training friendly staff, and keeping the bar as free from illegal activity as possible would improve the experience greatly. However, if you're an older man only looking for affordable beer (not a cocktail) before or after work regardless of cleanliness or activity, this may be the place for you. It may be convenient at the cost of location.

Five years ago there were years of horrible rumors surrounding it. It's a dive experience that is brought down by some of the clientele who use the establishment to deal drugs or be the worst drunks, creating an atmosphere that invites terrible customer service, that can only be seldom saved by the older, more-experienced bartender and owner. However the appearance, the truth cannot be found in this review beyond the few experiences had there.

PS - This review was edited, not only for clarity, but because the owner of the Venture Inn had helped create a hostile work environment at a place that I once worked.
