C+C Coffee Shop — Restaurant in City of Poughkeepsie

I stopped in here when I was looking for a cup of coffee downtown that wasn’t Dunkin Donuts. The coffee was quite good—pricey, but no more expensive than starbucks or similar, especially these days—and the space is really nice. I didn’t see a lot of places to sit, but I got my coffee to go and wasn’t there for that long, so maybe they have other seating that I didn’t see. This is really a (cute!) clothing/accessories store with a coffee shop in the front.

I had a slice of the chocolate banana bread, which was out-of-this-world good. Very friendly barista, and adorable coffee shop pup. I had no trouble finding a spot at one of the three tables on Friday afternoon.

Such a wonderful place… there’s nothing like it in Poughkeepsie, or most of the Hudson Valley for that matter. The cafe is adorable, with great coffee & even better banana bread & cookies, and the store itself is a must-visit.
