Came here after an 11 hour shift and ordered a drink with Annie who was so attentive I left 100% tip. Unfortunately afterwards I was attended by Josie who did not look me in my face at all. When I asked if they carried fernet she responding with a cold and quick “no” and made no effort to check. When I decided to take it on myself to scan their inventory on their back bar I realized that they had a full bottle directly behind where she was standing. I pointed it out to her, a bartender not a barback, and she proceeded to say nothing and poured it resentfully. I’ve visited this space a few times, albeit reluctantly, due to their gratuitous cover charge but wanted to find a space for myself here as a born and raised local who works in the industry. Cool place to look at, but SO many problems: ran out of food on a Saturday night; ran out of wine glasses; no Pino Grigio (which is a pretty standard offering), and the pour is ridiculously stingy, maybe 3 ounces.... Too loud to hear yourself talk, so if they're wanting to offer a space for conversation/poetry slams/ etc, guests won't hear you. Some people were playing pool, but the best part was the Himalayan salt bar. It had lights underneath it and glued for perfect light setting.
