Country Sweet Chicken & Ribs — Restaurant in City of Rochester

New Greece location=HOT MESS! Unfortunately after just two visits to this new location I have to call it quits. My initial visit was subpar as the staff at the counter was not attentive to its customers. It seemed that they were annoyed or had more important tasks to do instead of attending to customer orders and pickups. Either they all aced the lesson on "how to not make eye contact with customers" or they are all naturals. After my first visit I just figured they just had a bad day on my first visit sadly I was wrong. The attitude and attentiveness was even worse. This time I was able to watch over 50 minutes of customer interactions and it was consistently poor. I had the pleasure of placing my order over the phone at 6:25 and didn't not receive my order until 7:45. During that time I asked three times the status as others had placed order behind me and were long gone. Well my order was ready in a bag with no receipt attached. It only took the third employee to figure that out. Then my order was remade as it had sat there for over 30 minutes while I was there. One would think when this type of mistake/inconvenience is made they would apologize and make an attempt to push the order up. Well no surprise that was not the case (10 wing meal and 4 pc chicken tender meal) must have been way to much to fit in. Then when it was complete sadly the manager handed me my order and stated that it was really hot as she burned herself twice on it and then walked away. Oh "I'm sorry for the confusion or inconvenience" would have been nice. Actually If anyone during the entire process had simply said "sorry" even if it was not sincere would have been nice. I've eaten here about twice a week for the past 6 months, which adds up to at least $500 that I've spent here. So I can give a reasonable report on the food and service. First, the food is pretty good for the price. I don't just eat it because I'm hungry, but because I want to eat something that tastes good and is satisfying. Second, the service is pretty good compared to other establishments in the area. There is a typical wait time if ordering in person; however, there is never a wait if I order on the phone 15-20 minutes before getting there. There is also occasionally a circumstance where they have run out of chicken. This has only happened twice for me, which was an opportunity to try their pork ribs (which are excellent but also somewhat expensive). Third, the people working there have respect for the customers if the customers are respectful of them. Some people are intolerant of even the slightest errors and then their empathy goes out the window. I've seen it a couple times, and the first time that there wasn't chicken I was a little irritated myself. But I understand their system now so I will not feel that way.

Summary: the food itself is great and consistently so for the price, but frankly, for any price. The service is good if you understand how their system works and you know what you want and have patience. Just like anywhere, respect the employees and they'll give you respect, especially in the occasion that something is not as expected.

I was previously a patron of this establishment until last night. I only live about 5 minutes from the Greece location but would travel the 15-20 minutes to this specific location because of the customer service and the preparation of the food. Last night was not a good experience at all. I called to place my order was placed on hold 5 minutes and had to cal back. I placed my order and was too it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went into the store and one of my favorite employees knew who I was I paid for my order and waited. I waited 40 minutes and during this time what I witnessed made me request a refund. The acting manager this evening, a young lady wearing clear frames and a little on the heavier side, was in the kitchen area. Assisting staff with the kitchen. Her demeanor was not good. She and another staff member were spraying cleaning chemicals in the kitchen around food, she was throwing the orders onto the area that were to be given to waiting customers, the other employee had also sprayed chemicals and wiped the refrigerator then without even changing gloves began to prepare food in the same area where her counterpart had just sprayed above and went into a loaf of bread to prepare food! I could not not say anything about this. I spoke to them quietly about it and the unprofessionalism that happened there after between the kitchen staff I just could not take. May I have a refund please. I left and will not be back! I refuse to spend $40 at least twice...
