Where do I begin with this place...We put our name in for a party of four and then told it would be a 45 min wait. Not bad right? So we went outside to the bar to get drinks in the meantime and noticed there were at least five open tables. We still weren’t too bothered yet. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri but was told it wasn’t frozen yet so I ordered a white sangria instead. The rest of our party got mixed drinks as well and they all were so watery and tasted like there was no alcohol in them. After a while, the tables outside were still open so we decided to ask about them. We were told they were seating people right now for them and would seat us ASAP. Mind you, every time we went up to ask about our table, there were other parties complaining as well for the same reason. We finished our drinks and got a second round. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri again hoping it would be frozen by now (it had been at least a half hour). I was handed a cold syrupy mess and told “it’s about 50/50” frozen. It literally tasted like thick sugar water so I asked for a hard seltzer instead. We were not given any money back for the price difference. By this point, we had been waiting over an hour so we went up to the hostess again to inquire about a table. Again we pointed out that there were several open tables, both inside and out. As for the empty tables outside, we were told that they don’t really seat people at these tables, they just leave them empty in case a large party comes in and they need to combine two tables. Again, we noted that there were several parties waiting for outside tables so this made no sense. Shortly after this second complaint, we were told that our table was miraculously ready. Once we were seated, the waitress was super nice but the food was decent at best. I ordered the seafood boil pot which was flavorless and arrived without the corn and potatoes (literally half of the ingredients). All and all, the view was great but not worth the hassle at all. Honestly you’re much better off at Marge’s or...
Read moreI went here last night and, had I known whatnot would be like, I would have skipped it altogether. I arrived at a quarter past four, wanting to have an early dinner because I had to get to a meeting at six. Almost two hours should have been enough time, I thought. Especially before the dinner rush. I got there at the same time as two small groups of two and three. I was the first to talk to the hostess, who asked me to sit at the bar and said it would be five minutes. Overall, I ended up sitting at the bar for thirty minutes, watching people who had arrived after me get seated (they were not getting seated at reserved tables; I had thought maybe that was why). Eventually, I went up to ask how much longer it would be. They did seat me then, but since some other people had put their thing down on my table, I had to wait for them to move. I was seated, given a dirty menu, and then ignored for another 20 minutes. I caught the eye of a served who seemed confused that I hadn't been helped yet, and she gave me water, then left for another 15 minutes or so. I did finally order and get my food, which was actually very good, but I needed to take most of it to go so as to not be late for the meeting. I ate it later, cold. Overall, the food was very good, but the service was surprisingly bad. They did get busy while I was there, but most of those customers were walk-ins. It seemed like they gave priority to every other group, and I have to wonder if it was because I was alone. If the tables were all full, I would have eaten at the bar so that they wouldn't have to give up a table, but they weren't, so I really don't understand it. I am fine with waiting for a bit, but this was too much. Get organized, you guys. The food is too good to be ruined by...
Read moreTried to have dinner Friday evening around 6:45 for a party of six. First of all, your hostess had her infant child with her in a front pack while she was working, that's not OK. When we called ahead, we were told it wouldn't be a problem and that you didn't take reservations. When we arrived, the wait time was estimated to be about 90 minutes. OK, we can deal with that and we ordered drinks at the bar. The bar was very disorganized and overheard a lot of complaints from the bartenders...super unprofessional. Once we got seated, it took about 20 minutes before we saw our waitress. She was nice, but was very frazzled, didn't realize she was our waitress, and a lot of complaining about how many tables she had, etc. and that she was also bartending. We ordered a round of drinks and water. Over half hour later, she came by and saw that we didn't have our drinks or water. She took our food order and then went to go make our drinks herself. Once she came back, the drinks were served with no garnishes, and still NO water. She did say she would not charge us for the round of drinks. We asked for water yet again, and it never came. I went to the bar myself and asked for a cup of limes for our drinks. By 9pm, another table that was seated well after we were, was being served with their food. I asked the manager to check on our food, and she said she would, but never returned. We walked out about 9:15 and walked over to Mr. Dominics, who was more than accommodating and served us immediately. I will never return unless it is turned over by new owners that know how to staff appropriately, and are able to work without complaining to their customers. You have an amazing location and it is...
