The pier is a very special place. It brings you... above all... to nature:water! A lake! Waves, winds, beaches, fish, seagulls, sunsets...and sunrises. But to experience the nature of it, ya gotta walk slow...maybe alone, with a friend, or a date even. Listen to the lapping waves, look at the colors of the water, see all the clouds...go all the way out so you can feel almost surrounded by water. And look to the west around sundown and stop everything ...to watch the sun set over the water and beaches...then look 180 degrees in the opposite direction to see the mauve and periwinkle colors on the far horizon. And , if you go with a friend just after sunset, watch the moon and stars come out! It can be just a miracle...! It is a connection with nature...a connection to yet another wonder of the world...

Oh, and Concerts at the Shore on wednesday summer evenings.... Why is it that I have written so much? It is because I am a photographer...it was my safe place, my shelter my connection during summer evenings during covid... But, with covid gone almost, it is still so captivating. It is a return to and a treat...
