Vine & Tap — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I’m pleasantly surprised with how fond I’ve grown of this cute little wine bar. This is a regular spot for my loved ones and we end up here weekly. The service is fantastic and the staff is so friendly and attentive. They have specials, events and live music that you can check out. The happy hour flight is a great deal to take advantage of during the week . I also caught their 5 for $5 wine flight one time as well. The charcuterie boards are the best I’ve had in the area. The crab cake & shrimp board is out of this world, made by a talented chef. The regular board is plentiful and so amazing every single time. I think I’ve had almost every single wine they offer. I do recommend just buying a bottle to share because it’s more bang for your buck. If you spend as many hours as I have here, it’s worth it.

I really appreciate the outdoor seating for our dog but the inside is nice too. They have a great couch where you can play some games but I’m sad it’s only one there! I’m very particular about aesthetics so I will say that they should one day turn that amazing back room into something more special, it has a lot of potential. Adding some more comfortable seating would be great. I do hope Vine & Tap becomes a local hotspot because they deserve it....

I'm changing my review because when I came back a second time the service was MUCH better. Idk if it was an off day when I was there before, or if it was the result of being very newly opened at the time, but significant improvements have been made in the way they operate. The second time I came, all our food (large 8 person party) came out very quickly. We received everything we ordered and had absolutely no issues. Everything was really good too! I don't like ranch dressing and the jalapeno poppers come with that and they even gave me a few different options to pair with the poppers, basically a sauce flight. I can't remember the name of the man who helped us but he was very helpful and informative about the wine! I want to say it was Joe? After this experience I will come back here again for sure.

Vine and Tap is a gem of a place that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great wine bar. Definitely my go to spot to unwind! Hosts and servers always greet you with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is chic and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening out. The wine selection is impressive, with a diverse range of options from around the New York State. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just someone who enjoys a good glass of wine, there's something for everyone.
