No service dogs allowed. I am a 100% combat disabled veteran of the war in Afghanistan. As I was walking into the restaurant with my combat disabled girlfriend, and my authorized service dog Reagan, We were approached from behind by one of the owners named Mike. "Excuse me but there are no dogs allowed into the restaurant."he said. I explained to him that this was my service dog named Reagan and that I am a combat disabled veteran. He said "I can't let you in because ALL of my employees are allergic to animals." I said "well then I am sure you are aware of the Americans with disabilities act allowing me to go anywhere I desire with a service dog, right?" "Of course I am" he said, "what do you expect me to do? Send all of my employees home and close the business?" I was calm and poised during the entire conversation but suggested that we needed to call law enforcement in order to break the impasse of our discussion. I have been in this situation before and felt my PTSD rising within me. I needed to deliver a birthday present to someone inside the restaurant so I secured my dog within my vehicle and went in to greet my friend. Staying only a short time, My girlfriend and I both noticed that I peeled my fingernails off and had my back to the wall the entire time. Looking for threats as I would in wartime. There were numerous displays of patriotic flags and accoutrements throughout the restaurant. I believe that he is trying to play the Patriot just to get our money and support. He talks the talk but does not walk the walk of a Patriot. Whatever happened to real supporters of the red white and blue, the land of the free and the home...
Read moreThe owner or manager not sure exactly of his role was so drunk and out right mean and unprofessional. I visited for a birthday gathering and am over 21 years old. The bartender asked for my ID and then informs me that you must be 25 to be served. I asked why and the manger then cuts me off and screams at me that I need to leave immediately. I then asked why and while slurring his words and screaming he tells me that they had problems with the younger crowed and that he has the right to do whatever he wants. While I have heard of bars raising the age I didnât feel it to be appropriate for him to scream at me. Especially considering I am pregnant and very obviously not drinking or asking to be served. Rude and unprofessional owner and manager. If their concern is with the younger group they should consider cleaning up the parking lot activity and taking a look at the over 25 years old group of...
Read moreDid you know this bar wonât let you in if youâre under 25? Thatâs right - forget the legal drinking age of 21 in NYS, they make their own rules here. Also, donât even think about coming here with a baby. We wanted to stop in while our 2 week old was sleeping for a quick drink and bite to eat, but were quickly excused by a manager/owner since the under 25 rule applies to infants apparently. We've always liked it here, but will stop coming and will stop suggesting...
