The Scotch House Pub — Restaurant in City of Rochester

This place has drink specials galore. Something cool and unique every night of the week! And Heather (the bartender we met) was great. Playful attitude, chatty, but didn't overstay her welcome.

We tried a burger, fries, and wings. They did very well. The burger was delicious although if I were to point out some issues, we ordered the house burger and the sauce came on the side. Why? It's a house burger ... put the house sauce on the house burger! If I wanted a cheeseburger without the sauce I would have ordered a cheeseburger! Also, it was a much smaller burger than what I was expecting. The wings were excellent. Again, those had the house sauce.

We had a mixup with our tab where things were charged, then not charged, but maybe they were charged, ok wait a few days to see if they were charged. But we're confident with our documentation of the situation if anything doesn't look correct on our credit card bill then we'll be able to get...

I like this bar because of the friendly service, I can come on the most busiest nights and still have the staff greet you and service you almost immediately. The food is top notch unlike other Monroe pubs where they lack either food, food choices, or just lack quality in the food. They have been expanding the menu as well. They also have one of the best happy hour drink specials in the Monroe ave area. They also branch out and provide some of the best IPA's and other beers on tap that others in the area lack.

The layout is great because it's enormous, they have 2 levels, with plenty of dart boards, and they have billiards (which is becoming hard to find in the Rochester night scene) I would recommend this joint if you are looking for a chill low key place to grab a bite/drinks, or show up when it's poppin' cuz this place does pack out on weekends and...

We had a good time. There was a very mixed crowd, drinks were decent, bartenders were friendly and the overall layout of the bar is comfortable. There's a decent amount of seating and games. There was a $5 cover charge to get in and They don't let anyone in after 1:00 a.m.. I'm not sure why. Parking lot was full as to be expected for a bar on Monroe Ave.

I only gave it three stars because the place was dirty. Floors weren't clean, counter and table tops were sticky, bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and the toilets were clogged. Bathroom doors did not shut and every time you went to one bathroom you could see clearly into the other.
