Toasted Bear Tavern — Restaurant in City of Rochester

My now husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was awesome! Before finding this gem we searched through all of the many mainstream options the city of Rochester has to offer for restaurants and everything was the same; boring and overpriced. I then came across Toasted Bear Tavern, which happened to be the location of our first date 8.5 years ago. From my first communications with the manager Jesse he was amazing and eager to help. He went above and beyond, from meeting with us prior to the date to see the renovations and taste the outstanding food. To the night of the dinner, he was extremely easy going, flexible and personable. We would work with him and his staff again in a heartbeat! Decided to sample some late night grub @ a bar or pub with my wife, so we arrived here

well lit specious atmosphere for goin' out to enjoy some music & the pleasures of "tipsy sips", while satisfying your munchies 😋

Despite the reasonable service of busyness, there could be more attentive practices in supplying the bare "dine in" essentials & condiments — automatically

Although the error of a request to be a "WELL done" Rodeo Burger had been corrected, the wait was unsatisfactory in notifying the rudely "walked off" chef, jus' so the bartender would endure the need in supplying a side of sauce to the replacement. i didn't care much for the seasoning of the crispy chicken tenders

Quite plenty & heavy, the meal was, nonetheless — for a reasonable price

Friendly staff and great service. Ambiance is good and they have a good choice of seating. I use a walker and found the one step up and down a bit challenging, but there is a ramp from the street corner. Not wheelchair accessible. Ashley was my bartender and server and she was very nice and accommodating. The bar menu had good traditional food like burgers and wings , but also good vegetarian options. I had the chicken tenders which came with steak fries, and in addition to blue cheese, tried the spicy siracia lime sauce, which Ashley suggested, and liked it a lot .
