We are thoroughly pleased with our choice for our wedding venue. From the beginning they were communicative and beyond helpful in answering our numerous questions and had a great understanding that we were spending a good sum of money to have a wedding. We never felt they tried to upsell us, but we are pleased we decided to add the bridal suite and upgrade to the premium bar which ended up only adding just over $100 to our bill at the last minute. The premium bar took our 2 signature drinks to the next level and everyone was obsessed! Because we went with the premium bar they were able to create fun, gorgeous, and custom mocktails on the spot for our guests who don't drink! They provide a coordinator to keep the schedule moving and coordinate all logistics with your vendors (something we had budgeted for a DOC and didn't need with them! I am a program planner and designer so I found that this was all I needed, but if you need a wedding planner that would be an outside service). They helped us create a perfect timeline and with my perfectionism we were ahead of schedule for a calm stress-free day. Having the two-room bridal suite was amazing, relaxing, and provided ample space for us and our families and wedding party. They were prompt and accommodating to all our day of needs and the staff were genuinely excited throughout the night. We had a relatively small wedding - just over 50 people and we felt like the space worked well. It didn't feel empty with a small number which was hard for us to find. 1000/10 would recommend. Additionally, we went with their recommendation for a DJ, Brandon Fess, who only works at HGH. We were looking for someone inexpensive and didn't need a typical DJ experience for our small group. He was great to work with to develop our custom dance, cocktail hour, and dinner playlists. He did the normal emcee duties, but was otherwise hands off which is what we wanted! Since it was the first few days after the summer solstice we didn't want a light package since it was only dark enough for the last hour of the night with all of HGH's gorgeous windows providing...

Literal perfection. My husband and I got married here on July 15th, 2023 with a party of about 60 people. The space was perfect for that size but could comfortably fit more people. The space is so beautiful as it is, we found it very easy to decorate.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Jessica was there for us every step of the way, was super responsive over email, patient and fun, and handled last minute changes with grace. Chris made us the most incredible signature cocktails that everyone raved about the entire night. Shannon, Shane, and the rest of the day-of crew were phenomenal. They took wonderful care of us. They made sure we had drinks, coffee, food, dessert, snacks and (most importantly) time to ourselves. They flipped the room from the ceremony set up to the reception space so easily and efficiently, they lit all 150+ candles that were part of our decor, AND they broke down the entire event after we finished up. Amazing.

The Highland Suite was the best place to get ready. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable to hang out in and has so much natural light. The German House provided hot coffee, tea and water, plus we had delicious mimosas supplied by Chris. There was plenty of space for the 7 of us getting hair and makeup done plus the makeup artist and hair stylist.

In summary: if you're looking for a venue with charm, an amazing bar and an even more incredible staff, you've got to go with the German House.

My husband and I got married at the German House in June and it was the best day of our lives! Our experience with the German House played a role in making this day smooth and special. Jessica, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely perfect to work with and helped us greatly through the planning process to help us make decisions and keep things (mostly) stress-free. She was extremely responsive and communicative and she made sure everything was planned for the day so that it would all run smoothly. She made sure we had planned for things I had not thought of! All the other staff members the day-of were kind and helpful and I am amazed at how many friends and family told us this was one of the best weddings they had been to. The space itself is gorgeous. The German House already had a special place in my heart, living in the area, and it was so beautiful. The building is pretty and unique so barely any decorating is required (which I really liked!). It was cool having multiple "spaces" that our guests could hang out in - from the mezzanine to the stage. The bridal suite is absolutely beautiful and all our photos we took in the building are fantastic. Only downside was the cost - there were added costs beyond face-value and this was stressful for me, but I think that is a problem with the broader wedding-industry and I would probably experience the same thing with most venues today. Ultimately - I wouldn't change a thing and it really was the wedding...
