I love Ferlo’s donuts! They are in my top three of the best donuts I’ve had. The plain cake donut with maple frosting with chocolate drizzle is my favorite followed by a close second of the plain cake donut with chocolate frosting. Breads and rolls are outstanding. The smart repeat customer looks to the left immediately when they walk in to see what’s on the discount shelving. Deep discounts on day old products is appreciated. The tomato pie is good, not as good as the top places in Utica, but definitely worth getting. Halfmoons are unique with hint of orange flavor in the chocolate. We were coming back from old Forge and were debating whether to drive to utica for tomato pie, when we looked up Rome tomato pie locations and ferlos came up. We arrived and instead of getting a couple of slices we ordered and 1/8 of a sheet. At first we didn't know what to do with an 1/8th of a sheet and now I am thinking why did we only get 1/8th of a sheet! I could smell the fresh garlic in the sauce as soon as I opened the box. A bit on the pricey side even if the donuts are good. Check your order before you go to be sure that it's correct. A lemon pustie is disgusting especially when you anticipate the vanilla one you ordered. The tomato pie has enough garlic in the sauce to ward off vampires from miles away.
