I seldom go to McDonalds but last night my grandchildren were visiting so I took them as a treat. I dont go through the drive-thru because they very seldom get my order correct. We went inside and ordered. Then waited...over 45 minutes! For our meals. It was takeout. There were about 10 employees, all teenagers, didn't appear to be a manager around. The lines for the drive-thru were busy being Friday night BUT they totally ignored inside customers. No one was working specifically on my order. Half of one bag was sitting on the counter at least half an hour getting cold. Two customers came in and were totally ignored. Finally one spoke up and asked if someone was taking orders. They were eating in and got their order way before I did. People were coming in from the drive-thru complaining about their orders. People who had used the app were getting their orders way ahead of me. Finally they put the second bag on the counter, minus two items. I had to take everything out of the two bags to prove it to them. So now everything is stone cold and the hadn't gotten the frozen coke I ordered. They slammed it on the counter and it started erupting out the top. I couldn't believe it. One of them put napkins on the counter like I was supposed to clean up their mess which I did but I did not clean what had slopped on the floor. Had I not already paid and if my grandchildren weren't super hungry by then I would have left. The floor was dirty, covered with French Fries and everyone was in everybody else's way. Read moreThis location on Black River Blvd in Rome NY is the most ignorantly ran location to any fast food place I have ever encountered. I ordered on the app. Got there in the drive thru and got stuck waiting 25 minutes in the drive thru to finally get to the window to only be told to please pull over to spot 1 that my order wasn't ready. At that point I was already aggrivated so sat in spot 1 for 10 more minutes and still nothing. So I went inside and told them I've been outside waiting for my order for over 30 minutes. The person walks away to tell someone so now 10 minutes more later still nothing. So now I'm angry and told them to take the food and shove and left. Very very poorly ran establishment
Update 1-16-25 The McDonalds on Black River is a disaster EVERYTIME it's something different. They need to just shut it down and fire everyone. I ordered online and drove there. Sat in the drive thru for 5 minutes no one came on. Drove around to window didn't see anyone so I drive back around into the other drive thru. 5 minutes again and still no one. So I pull around again to the window and see a girl walking by so I beep over and over and still no attention. Finally a guy walks by and I start pounding on the window. So he opens it and I say are you open? He says yes and I'm like well no one came to the speaker but I have an online order and gave him my code and was told ok pull up to the next window. Then FINALLY another 5 minutes later was given my food. And to top it off I was the only person in line that whole time so not like it was busy.. Read moreI ordered through the app and used the McDelivery service. I'd like to be able to say something about the food, however, was given the completely wrong order! Literally the only thing correct was a 10pc McNugget; the dipping sauce was wrong, the order was missing my large fries (I was charged for them) and my burger had onions with no ketchup, mustard or pickles...I ordered no onions (I can't/shouldn't eat them). I contacted the McDelivery call center, made the employee aware that I was on my lunch break and that the correct order was expected by 1:14P and I'd be able to hand over the incorrect order. My correct order was not brought. After work, I contacted the call center again and made the employee aware of the situation. I was denied my food, a refund and speaking with a supervisor after the employee lied to me several times throughout the call. I contacted the McDonald's restaurant and they won't do anything, other than offer a meal. Um...I wanted a meal for lunch and didn't get it, why would I order from the same place? McDonald's doesn't give a damn about customers, otherwise they'd make things right the first time the issue is brought to them. This maybe one reason McDonald's has been struggling.
