Kru Coffee — Restaurant in City of Saratoga Springs

Walk in with a buddy, he gets a French toast flavored bullet coffee. I look at the board quick, don't see flavors listed for bullet coffees, they ask if they can help me, I ask what other flavors they can do with the bullet coffee. Dude looks me dead in the eye and says 'Well the original flavor is coffee' stops there. My buddy fills in with the other flavors options. This place thinks it's better than you the moment you walk in. These places that just ooze pretentiousness drive me up a wall. I don't typically drink flavored coffees, French toast sounded exotic, sorry if it peaked my curiosity, but you can't be curious at a place like this, know exactly what you want, or be prepared to be treated like an idiot. I'll grind my mail order intelligencia in my Burr Mill grinder and prepare it in my Chemex from now on guys, sorry to bother you with my plebian questions.

Pro tip: if someone asks about flavors, list a few flavors then maybe suggest "But my go to is the original no flavors, just coffee". That way you can still prove your better than them for not flavoring you're coffee while still answering...

This place is amazing! My husband and I came to Saratoga for a quick birthday get away. I am from the West Coast and a bit of a Portland girl at heart...but living in the very North of New York has left a huge void in my life when it comes to coffee. As soon as I walked in to Kru I knew...they get it. The atmosphere was hipster classy, the employees were friendly and incredibly talented...and the coffee. That coffee! I SO appreciate any place that treats coffee like an art instead of a mass produced product to bring in quick money. Not to mention the huge kudos for the latte art...few things make me happier. Love that it is locally owned and roasted as well. We will definitely be visiting Saratoga Springs again, mostly so this West Coast girl can get her fix. Thank you Kru, keep up the...

Probably the best coffee shop in Saratoga Springs.

We stopped by for a morning coffee and left with some bags of beans.

This place is not in the middle of downtown but worth the 2 min car ride to get better coffee and not wait in line for 30 mins. The coffee is top notch quality and the staff is super quick to prepare high quality drinks. Not to mention they are super friendly and kind.

I ordered an Americano and it was ready within minutes at perfect temperature and it tasted amazing. I also bought their beans as they roast on site and had some really interesting blends.

Will definitely be back when I visit Saratoga Springs...
