Golden House Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Schenectady

I have lived on Union St for 6 years. I hate to say for many reasons I am not a fan. #1 the food is not as good as many other restaurants, the only positive thing the food was hot. #2 in the past years I have ordered food here and I am not a fan. #3 the biggest pet peeve that I can't get over and will NEVER accept. The owner and a lot of the employees think the handicap spot and the blue grid area for ramps use these spots as there special parking spots. The police schdy and nisky departments have handed many tickets to everyone in there. I have tried talking to the owner about this it he just yelled and got very angry. My self and my other half are both disabled I have no respect for people that do this just because they think they are special. Today the same thing happened I went into 1 of the other stores in the building and again there was an employee vech there. I will never ever recommend doing business at the Golden House if you cant respect what the handicap spots are meant for and carry no respect for disabled people they do not deserve my money. And anyone that asks me about where to eat at I tell them of many other places to give there hard earned money to just not here. I even have talked to the building / lease company where this shop is located and was told at least once they would take care of it. Giving tickets, and paying fines and being spoken to by at least Myself and 2 different police departments doesn't work maybe this post will help...

what happened to the quality? did they sell the restaurant to new owners? food used to be fresh and good portions, now its refried/reheated junk. General tso's combo was old chicken pieces. Did they take it from their buffet section to fulfill my order? Usually the container is packed with pieces of chicken. this time it was 6 pieces of old recooked chicken. can tell because its dry as a bone when you bite into it.

sweet n sour chicken used to be fresh large pieces of chicken, now its little tiny pieces and some were dark brown and too hard to eat. refried and recooked old junk.

everything tasted old and lacking flavor. I am sick of spending over $70 and getting old junk. I wont be buying anymore food from golden house. they have been progressively getting worse each time I order now. WHAT HAPPENED? How do you go from a 4-5 Star chinese takeout...

I am not one to write a bad review, in fact this is my first one ever. I am in the service industry as well and understand what harm they can do. However, I ordered for the 5th time through mealeo, a delivery website. They took over 2 hours to deliver the food, because the driver kept going to the wrong address. When he finally arrived, he got up in my face, and asked why I ordered delivery food from his restaurant, we were too far away. He demanded that I give him an additional 50 percent tip, in addition to the 20% that I had already given, for the delivery that took 2 hours. After asking him 3 times if he was being serious, I had to threaten to call the police for him to get off of my property. Will never order again, very disappointed at...
