I don't know why we didn't visit this restaurant sooner, but we're happy we ate here tonight. We started by sharing and antipasto salad for two. The ingredients were first rate and the balsamic vinaigrette was delicious. We ate it with some of the complimentary bread and whipped butter. I ordered the 6-oz filet medallions with marsala sauce. It came with angel hair pasta. The steak was cooked as ordered and had a nice char and flavorful seasoning. However, I found the marsala sauce bland and asked for some marinara sauce for the pasta. That was delicious. My wife ordered the flame grilled chicken with a side of sauteed mushrooms. She also enjoyed her meal. The biggest surprise was the desert. We ordered the spumoni tartufo and two spoons. It was outstanding, and definitely large enough to share. It consisted of a ball of chocolate, pistachio, and cherry ice cream surrounded by a hard shell of chocolate, cut into four sections and surrounded by whipped cream, and raspberry and chocolate sauces. It was a wonderful way to end a terrific meal. Our server did an excellent job and the manager stopped by our table to ask how we had enjoyed our meals. Overall, the quality of the food here is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Will be back soon. UPDATE-1: Returned for another excellent meal. I ordered the 9 oz fillet with a side of pasta and some extra marinara sauce. As I found my first time here, the marinara sauce is excellent. The steak was so tender it almost dissolved in your mouth. And it was cooked medium well as ordered, a good amount of pink but no red. My wife told the manager that the meatballs she had ordered were the best she'd had in a very long time, and the side of a plate-size hunk of broccoli was cooked perfectly. Again we shared and enjoyed the spumoni tartufo for dessert. UPDATE-2: perhaps our third experience at this restaurant suffered from the fact that they were very busy on a New Year's Eve. The service was still excellent, but the food suffered. Our antipasto salad for 2 was mostly lettuce and was missing the promised sliced egg and artichoke. I ordered shrimp scampi with a request for extra garlic. It's possible the order was misinterpreted in the kitchen as a request for less garlic because I could barely detect it. The pasta, shrimp, and spinach were generous and perfectly cooked, but the sauce was a tasteless oil. I ate the shrimp and took the pasta home where I rinsed it in hot water and served it with marinara sauce. I've reduced my rating of the restaurant from 5 to 4 stars.

What a romantic place to dine. We always reserve 15-20 minutes prior to arriving and we never had to wait in line. I don’t know where to start with their menu because we’ve tried almost all of it and not once we were disappointed. I highly recommend this place for pasta lovers, and to those who are not, they have much to offer. Who knows, they may turn you into one.

We've been here before, but I thought I would do another review. I decided to mix it up a little tonight. Typically I'd get the Delmonico (a huge porterhouse), but I opted for the portabello filet, and I asked for the sauce on the side. Our waitress, Payton, passed that along, and it came in a separate dish. It was delicious! O like having it on the side because it allowed me to dip the steak in it instead of being smothered. The steak was cooked perfectly. Lisa got the chicken Sinatra, and she said it could have used more flavor. That comes on a bed of Utica greens, and she thought they'd be hotter. She also had to add salt to the potatoes. My side of garlic/butter angel hair was also delicious. Lisa can not say enough about their Cesar salad. The dressing is phenomenal, and they used exalt the right amount. No part was dry, but there wasn't a pool of it on the plate after she finished. Highly recommend. We got an appetizer - mini meatballs (12) with sauce and cheese and 2 italian hot peppers. Be advised - the peppers are indeed hot! They are stuffed with sausage and some other stuff. They brought out warm bread with a generous dollop of garlic butter. Delicious! Oh, and they have Pepsi, so you know I was all over that. Lisa stuck with ice water. Dinner for two, one appetizer and one soft drink came to 82 bucks. You should tip the waitresses well so they can afford to go buy the rest of their skirts. The dress code seems to be mini skirts with patterned fishnet stockings. Oh, and they do a birthday song, complete with clappers.

One of my favorite places to eat...until yesterday. As a restaurant server myself, I have to say that our server was very amicable and did the best he could, given the fact that it WAS Mother's Day. We were seated promptly and were not in any way feeling rushed. Received our drinks and appetizers in a few minutes...so far, GREAT! We had to wait an unusual amount of time for our entrees but again, we expected that due to the high volume of customers for Mother's Day dinner. A day, that I believe high end restaurants EXPECT. Our server, Mike kept us informed of about our order and we were completely fine regarding the wait. 4 out of the 5 of us ordered the delmonico. The medium came first and was raw beyond the top and bottom. No problem...sent back and returned SEARED on top and bottom but still raw inside. Then the medium rare steaks came. 2 out of those 3 were also so rare, they were PURPLE AND COLD beyond the top and bottom. Sent back with MUCH trepidation as the restaurant by this time was overflowing. (A situation that they had to FULLY EXPECT due to the fact that they were not even taking reservations FOR that day!) But I digress...the steaks came back SEARED and still raw and cold throughout. They comped the steaks and a shrimp cocktail as well as one glass of wine, however the sides that came with those steaks were charged, although not eaten as they were part of the meal that by that time were themselves also cold. Mike, our server, was great and the manager did what he was hired to do...damage control. Sadly, even though this was one of our favorite steakhouses, we most likely won't return. I realize Mother's Day is an extremely busy and High Volume dining day, but it is a day they have an entire year to plan for. I feel disappointed at best. Delmonico's. Do not over extend your services. It makes you look "bad" to longtime customers and I believe, most likely, to possible future returning new customers. Mother's Day rating......

I'll start with the food (that was actually correct) was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. I'm struggling with this review because things weren't perfect and I had higher expectations but I think we just got unlucky. We had 7pm reservations. Thankfully we got there early because it took us 4 laps around the parking lot to finally find a spot. After wading through a sea of people, we checked in to the hostess at about 6:55. We had to wait standing in a cramped and busy hallway in front of the bathroom and then didn't get seated until 7:45. and that was after they brought us to a table that hadn't been bussed and made us go back up front to wait again. Everything else went well until our main courses arrived. 3 out of 4 meals were excellent, my wife had ordered a medium rare filet mignon, but instead received a medium rare pork chop. I can't begin to understand how that happened. My wife has food allergies and wasnt comfortable at that point letting them remake her meal with a mistake that could make her very ill. They took the meal off of the bill and apologized. This seems to be the case with all restaurants but my wife was very understanding that mistakes happen and didn't cause a scene or let it effect the rest of the tables enjoyment, so the restaurant left it at that. I think that it would've been in better taste for the restaurant to cover her drink or her salad as well. I just don't understand why when a customer reacts to a mistake with understanding and poise (like people should) they aren't treated as well as people who are jerks. somehow taking an inedible meal off a bill is a favor. this isn't just delmonico's, it seems to be the industry standard. we'll undoubtedly try to eat here again as the food was very good. and hopefully our luck will be...
