Dome Stadium — Restaurant in City of Tonawanda

The Dome Stadium had their Grand Reopening after the pandemic closure tonight. We took the family for dinner and what a great place for casual dining!! The menu has a great selection of appetizers, wraps, and burgers. We wanted to try them all!!!

We settled on the homemade mozzarella sticks and a HUGE hit pretzel with beer cheese and mustard. Both were terrific! The pretzel was way better than ones I’ve had at other local restaurants. It was more like a bread with pretzel crust - absolutely delicious!

I ordered the Dome Burger and when it came to the table I had to start strategizing how I was going to fit this gigantic burger in my mouth!! It was so good! Cooked just right and the sriracha glaze on it gave it such a great flavor. My wife got the same burger with Domes as her side instead of fries. Domes are mashed potato and cheese balls fried and then lightly drizzled with the sriracha glaze. She loved them! One son got a a BBQ burger that he said was outstanding and the other boy - our plain one - got a cheeseburger that was just the way he likes it.

The service was friendly and attentive. I was thoroughly impressed with the updates the owners have made to the establishment. We ate out on their new patio that fits the back of the building like a glove! The interior upgrades are quickly noticed and quite nice compared to its previous look. I was impressed.

I highly recommend heading over to The Dome Stadium in the City of Tonawanda for dinner. Or even for a bite and a drink. This place has greatly improved and you will not be...

Their big thing is Nashville hot chicken. It was crispy and juicy, however the chicken it self was bland. Sure the breading was spicy but it needed salt. Just about everything needed salt. We actually went for a fish fry not knowing it wasn't really a fish fry place, but we did get the fish fry as well. The fish was cooked perfectly, however again it needed some salt. The Mac salad was not your traditional mayo style, but rather an oil and garlic, it was very tasty just not what I expected. The fries were a pretty small portion but good and the chicken came with some huge delicious onion rings. All in all not a terrible meal, but just my personal preference that it pretty much all needed some seasoning other than just being hot or peppery. The best thing about my birthday dinner was the bread and the waitress..our appetizer came after the dinner..there was a bad clam in the clams casino..nearly made me sick..the cook should have smelled that..it was really bad..had to spit it into napkin..waitress was gracious about it and took off the bill..but almost spilled cookies at table..the fish was ok but fries had been sitting and were cold..the coleslaw also had been sitting out and was warm..I have worked a kitchen 15 years including fish fries..this was not acceptable ..also there was other tables that a family with screaming children could have been placed at rather than behind us and amongst 3 other tables with seniors..just saying .up...
