King's Kitchen — Restaurant in City of Utica

I really enjoyed the Fried Chicken it was seasoned very well and very tasty however the rice was very Bland had no taste to it whatsoever and also the baked mac and cheese was not baked and it was overcooked the noodles was very mushy and the cheese that they put on it was like a cheese sauce it wasn't shredded cheese and I just did not like it I got the cornbread as well and it was okay it had too much cinnamon in it for me and it was very heavy usually when I get a piece of cornbread it's nice and light and fluffy but I guess because this was different ingredients then that's why it was heavy it was very unique to put the cinnamon they just had a heavy hand and put too much cinnamon other than that the person who answered the phone was very polite I did not want the collard greens and they gave me an extra piece of cornbread in its place so I really appreciate it that I'll give it a 3 out of 10 it wasn't the worst but it just wasn't to my liking the rice just needs a little bit of salt and not so heavy on the cinnamon and the mac and cheese just needs to not be overcooked and more put together it was just like a bowl of mac and cheese out the box and they just put it in the oven and heated it up for me if those things were just fixed it would have been a 10 out of 10 but best thing is the chicken wings...

This is one of the best meals I ever had. I had never heard of this place but Googled “fried chicken near me” and this came up with a 4.9 star rating. My girlfriend and I decided to try it and what a great decision it was. Literally everything was fantastic. The chicken was flavorful and crunchy. The breading was perfect. It had a great crunch and flavor and stayed on the chicken very well. The honey garlic sauce on the tenders was so flavorful as well. The Mac and cheese is one of the best I’ve ever had, as was the cornbread. The cornbread had a unique flavor that was out of this world. My girlfriend has hated literally every piece of cornbread she has ever tried but she loved this. The collard greens were cooked with turkey, which gave them a great flavor. The chocolate cake was perfect. It was moist and the frosting was nice and light. The entire thing is chocolate, but it’s not too chocolatey.

I talked with one of the owners while I was waiting for my food and she was telling me how everything is homemade and I definitely believe that. You could tell how fresh everything was. Today I had a random craving for some good Mac and cheese. After realizing my chances of finding some was low to none I called a relative and was pointed in the direction of Kings Kitchen. Ordered my mac and a fish fry. When I returned home I snagged a quick bite of fish n a single scoop of mac just to see what it was about. I have to say both items were mind blowing! I'm more than exited to know that such great home cooked food is now an option when I'm on the go and I'm already looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu!
