Oh the tram! The tram! My favorite cafe I’ll try to sum it up, best I can.
The tram is full of tasty delights Bustling but cozy from morning to nights
You can have a delicious sandwich or soup Bring a friend, better yet, and order two!
Their poetry nights are a big hit Their other events are just as lit!
The owners and staff are so very kind, Their events, art, and vibe are so divine. At the tram you’ll always have a good time :)
(But for real holy heck I’d be so much worse without the tram. Great food options I’m gluten free now which makes me want to cry but the tram makes it better because they have like 3 gluten free bread options. Sometimes they even have gluten free pasta salad which makes me so happy. They have non dairy milks so I don’t hurt the general public. Delicious soups. I love their dirty Thai coffee. They have a space for me and others to share our poetry and music and art. I really do always have a good time here, you won’t regret...
Read moreI feel bad for giving it 3 stars, because I do kinda like the place. It is a small coffee shop with vegan/vegetarian food options and the food has mildly good. But, something about the atmosphere really drops this place from a 4 star to a 3. The people that frequent there haven't been the most friendly either. But the staff is great! You get a lot of strange stares from some very questionable people, too. I'd feel very uncomfortable bringing kids there personally. The few times I've been there, I've always ordered food and a drink, and that alone is a 4 star. Too bad they only serve veggy chips (the kind you get at Walmart) as a side with your sandwich. Some sorta pasta salad or something would be better. Lots of stuff going on here during the week like open-mic, poetry readings, etc.
So if you're bored and think you can handle some weird and strange people, give it chance. Maybe this is your kind of thing. But not...
Read moreI first experienced The Tramontane about 15 years ago and immediately felt like it was "home". The atmosphere is uniquely comfortable and warm, eclectic, and lovely. The staff are always friendly, kind and provide top level of service. The events are always enjoyable, whether it's Poetry Night, Live Music, or anything else. This spot is supportive of all forms of art and creative expressions, very diverse, and where anyone from any walk of life can feel safe and comfortable. The food? Healthy and addictive. The Tramontane is always my favorite spot for all of the above. I've even come here just to get away from mundane life and sit with a good book, delicious coffee and soup. Robin is always hospitable in every way, often pausing between her many laborious duties to ensure you're seen, acknowledged, and welcomed. This place...
