Food used to be so good was the best in Utica ,but my last few trips after spending 80 to 90$ the food was just nasty . It used to be good I was disappointed cause I go there to get good food now it's like no love at all put in the food .I thought I was on stueben restaurant for a minute...last 3 times I went . Sorry but my food was blannnnn. And I was very disappointed ☹️😞.I won't be back .9 months later I went back y'all food was back on point food was so good . So this was my first time eating here. I have eaten from Simmer a few times, but they are temporarily closed. I was excited to try IB after seeing the reviews, but after trying it I would say I prefer Simmer. Something about the flavor was missing for us in the curry chicken and goat. We also had the Pepper Steak and I wasn’t thrilled. It’s the first time we ever tried that dish though so I would have to compare it to Simmer’s. Portions are HUGE for the money paid. Make sure you order early because most of the main dishes are sold out by 4 pm. We ordered at 5:30 on a Wednesday and the only dishes available were Curry Chicken, Curry Goat, and Pepper Steak. I ordered ackee & fish. They do not give a lot, picture Is after I ate the cabbage and some ackee. The cabbage and ackee was minimal and as you see they overloaded it with rice. The ackee was out on top of rice on the side of the container so it’s not as much as it appears to be. While the food is good, the lack of how much ackee they provide is disappointing.

They also don’t offer boiled dumpling which is the only kind I eat so that’s why there is rice instead. I’d much prefer boiled dumplings over fried dumplings or rice. If I’m craving it I’ll order if my dad can’t bring any from the Bronx, but that’s only because I’m pregnant and sometimes you just...
