I was at Kookie’s Q & creamery on 7-18-25 at 5pm I asked for a medium vanilla ice cream cone. The young lady said it would be $5.43 cash. I gave her cash and this is what I got for an ice cream cone. (Can’t attach an image) Granted I did just lick the top of it. I thought to myself “this is not worth $5.43. So I asked to speak to a manager and was told he’s on vacation. I said to the lady “this is not worth $5.43” and the lady agreed with me. Then she said “his name is James” and I put that in my notes along with a picture of the cone. When will he be back next week. I said this isn’t even creamy, it tastes like ice milk. No disagreement at all. Thank you, I’ll try next week.
So I stopped back 7-22-25 at 8:15pm. Asked a lady not the same person that waited on me previously, is James the manager available owe you mean David, no I was told the manager name is James. Well it’s David, he’s on vacation. What can I do to help you. I said I got an ice cream here last week and showed her the picture. She said I can’t really tell the because you licked it. She said it’s that size because of inflation. We don’t make the prices. Big attitude! She’s said who waited on you and I described her, her reply was that’s the assistant manager. She said what is it that you want? I said “I want my money back of $5.43”. She said I can make you another cone. I said, the cone I had tasted like ice milk, it’s not creamy at all, I said” I from Albany area and I go to Kurver creamery and it’s very smooth, this is not for a creamery, it’s like ice milk”. No disputing it at all, almost agreeing with me. She said well I can give you an ice cream cone or a sundae if that will help or you can talk to the manager in a couple of weeks? I said okay, I ll take a hot fudge sundae. Okay she said I ll make it a...
Read moreWe go once a week during Spring-Summer. Yesterday (5/11) was disappointing. We ordered our 5 things of ice cream. The girl tried to hand my husband his and I immediately told her that was not correct as he ordered a large, I seen them input a large on the register. We told her it needed to be a large. She then took it back and turned around and walked away. Not even a minute later a different girl tries to hand us the SAME one the previous girl tried handing us. I finally asked this girl what they BOTH did not understand that it is supposed to be in a LARGE dish not a regular one. She stared us like she did not comprehend us and goes "umm what size is it supposed to be?" And again, we told her a LARGE. She then figured it out and made him a new one. We were both in "awe" of how TWO workers did not understand that it was incorrect, nor what a size large dish was. I then received mine after. There was basically no caramel or hot fudge on it. And I asked for extra nuts and there was barely any on it. I could only eat half of it and had to throw it out bc it was just plain ice cream at that point with the skimping of toppings on it. Was not a pleasant...
Read moreForget the ice cream: OMG THEIR FOOD!!🤤🤤🤤 Soooooo good. The Kookie Bowl with pulled pork, mashed potatoes &gravy, and mac & cheese was amazing. The pulled pork is great, sauced perfectly. The cornbread is amazingly good. Hubby's only complaint is brisket was a little bit too dry once, but he still loved it, and that could be attributed to the fact that it was right before closing when he ordered it. Also, they forgot the dipping sauce that comes with the fried cheesecake; that kind of ruined them, but even then they were still good. Maybe just double check that's in there next time. Fried mac & cheese bites were decent. The prices are very reasonable and definitely worth the amount of food you get. This place is quickly turning into a new favorite. I think they'll have no problem surviving through the cold months, as their ice cream is just one of the great things they offer. Next time give their food a try, you won't regret it; but, you probably won't have room to finish your ice...
