Went one time to pick up my mobile order and the employee (a young female) was very rude at the window and didn’t make our drinks correctly, then got upset when I asked her to add cold foam when I payed for it and told me they didn’t have it there. The next time I had this same employee she was again very miserable and made our drinks wrong again, one even being the wrong size. She didn’t give us our food at the window so I went inside and asked for it, she looked right at me and ignored me. The other worker was also right there and ignored me. Worker was clearly making a drink with bad milk and had to go back and fix it. I was standing for 5 minutes in the front with no one in the store in front or behind me with two workers and what looked to be manager all pretending I was not there and not acknowledging my presence, I then asked again and then was told to wait. After a bit of time went by the manger finally asked if I had been helped and told them I went through the drive thru and didn’t receive my food which was clearly sitting near the drive thru window in a bag. I was just at the window and she clearly knew she just saw me as she said my name and all she had to do was stop and give me my bag. I have finally worked up the courage to speak on the transgression of one Starbucks employee, the name tag read, "Amelia." if I recall correctly. I am extremely devastated to say that my time at this branch of Starbucks, was one of the most miserable experiences that I have had in the entirety of my twenty years of life. I have NEVER received customer service so poor. This was very disappointing to me as I have been a consumer of Starbucks products for a very lengthy period of time, and have never experienced service like I did. This was my first and will be my last time at Utica Starbucks. This employee, not only made comments in which brought me severe discomfort, as I went through the drive through. But also, appeared very miserable serving me. When I was nothing but respectful and kind. This is very out of character for a typical Starbucks employee which is usually very cheery and welcoming. I did not feel welcomed and most certainly will not be back. I recommend this is resolved before any further incidents. Absolutely upsetting. However my coffee was great....
Read moreMy new favorite Starbucks. I live in Boston, where there are plenty of Starbucks but none like this one. The first thing that sets this Starbucks apart from others is the space and light. There are wall to wall windows and an open floor plan with plenty of seating. The bathroom is easily accessible and there is a sink out in the open between the two bathrooms, making it great for washing up. Service was fairly fast given the long line of cars at the drive thru but they had plenty of baristas to handle it. I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks and this is by far my favorite. The layout and full windows are unique.The location is convenient, right across from a hotel and in the up and coming Harbor Point are, close to restaurants, the Thruway and the Utica Auditorium.
