Tasty Treat — Restaurant in City of Utica

I’ll be honest. We found this place by accident. We were driving from VT to MI and my daughter needed a bathroom. This was the first decent-looking place we saw after pulling off the interstate. While my daughter rushed for the restroom as fast as her legs could carry her, I decided to buy something and not just use their bathroom for free. The guy at the counter (the owner?) was incredibly nice, and I was surprised and pleased to see they had multiple flavors of soft serve ice cream, well beyond the basic vanilla and chocolate I would have expected. You could Imagine my shock when I spotted pistachio among the offerings. I quickly ordered one in a loud clear voice ringing with confidence and certainty. He complied immediately, in a cheerful professional manner. When the once arrived, I took a bite. It was fantastic. My daughter returned from the bathroom, pronouncing it sparklingly immaculate. She quickly began to assist in the consumption of the soft serve cone. I used the bathroom as well, We returned to my wife outside in the car. She, too, was astounded at the quality of the ice cream.

The girls there in the evening just tell you want to hear. My husband wanted to know if the Italian ice would be good in a cone? They said yes. It was $8 for 2 medium cones I vanilla soft ice cream, one Italian ice. Nooooo! As soon as he went to kick it in the car, it fell off the cone because they did not put any in the base of the cone to keep it there. THEN, when I get to my cone I take one bite , ABSOLUTELY NO ICE CREAM IN THE CONE! This place is a complete rip-off!! We will NEVER go there again! Nor should anyone! $8 for 2 medium cones??? Nuts!!! I do not know how this place stays open at...

Me and the family wanted to try a new spot for us for burgers and ice cream. This was not a good choice. 4 cheeseburgers, 4 fries, and 4 small drinks $65. That would be ok if the food was good. The burgers were the equivalent to wal mart great value frozen patties out of the box and the fries were just a small little portion of crinkles. It was edible just not worth the price. We got ice cream after we ate dinner. $25 for 4 ice creams. The ice cream was good but over priced as well. We will stick with our go to place and write this one off... on a positive note, the staff are...
