Great products but TERRIBLE SEVERELY LIMITED hours. I am never able to arrange my schedule to get there when they are open. Twice this week alone I tried to get there before 2 pm but found it impossible because other people were late arriving & meeting me for appointments. I can't understand why they can't stay open to 5 or 6 or arrange to have their products sold at some place with normal hours. I say this but the truth is that BIZARRE business hours is a problem overall with the Utica Rome area. For example the vast majority of the better restaurants are closed on Sundays & Tuesdays (in addition to Mondays). Everywhere else in the civilized world Monday (or maybe Monday & Tuesday) is the dark days but restaurants in every other place I have lived or visited are open on Sundays ? Also bakeries are typically open until at least 4 pm but more commonly stay open until 6 or 6:30 so that people with 9-5 jobs can purchase goods after work & before...
Read moreGO HERE IF YOU ARE CYCLING EMPIRE STATE TRAIL! Just off the route and worth the few minutes. I had a spinach feta croissant 🥐 YUM!! Utica Coffee ☕️ and then we shopped for lunch (chicken salad on baguette), dinner (sharp cheddar cheese, salami, baguette & a salad), and breakfast (croissants) because we were biking 80 miles with far & few great food options. So thankful this location had the deli options as we ate in our hotel room late that evening after riding in the rain for a few hours. Utica Bread has 4 locations and this one I believe is largest and has most offerings. We stayed a long time chatting with Tim, owner, and staff. Thank you for your welcome and GREAT FOOD! Oh and they gave us Tomato 🍅Pie because we...
Read moreWe travel OH to MA and stop in here every time we pass through. They moved & changed hands and didn't tell us, and after driving around at the train station trying to find it, we googled and found it. (We miss the man who used to bake and manage there.) The new place is in a strip mall, very bright and clean, with all the amazing baked goods we have come to love. We took two baguettes, a whole wheat loaf, and two Danish back to Ohio to freeze. The two new employees were just really sweet and helpful. My only complaint is that it doesn't open until 8 a.m. And not a minute before, though four of us were lined up. Please, we can't wait that long!...
