La Picara Restaurant — Restaurant in City of White Plains

There aren’t a ton of Mexican options around our area (that I’ve found anyway) so I was excited to try this one out when we found it. It was pretty good. We tried the chicken enchiladas, tacos (chorizo, shrimp, and beef), fries (of course), and the chips and guac. Everything was pretty good, some parts were a little dry. It’s a very small hole in the wall and the wait time was really long. It took about 45 minutes for our pick up to be ready which I thought was pretty long. Overall, it was okay and I’d go back to try something else.

Funny story. I live a few blocks up and never noticed the place as it is in a residential area. There was a delivery issue with a package and it ended up going to the restaurant instead of my building. They were so kind to hold it for me and not send it back to ups! Went to this place for a quick stop to eat, it’s nice and cheap, I got 3 tacos, bistec and chorizo, fell in love with the chorizo tacos and the bistec ones were also amazing. It was very cheap 12 dollars for the order of 3. The worker, her name was Guadalupe was so nice and sweet. I definitely recommend coming here for some good Mexican food.
