I rarely post negative reviews. It bothered me that I couldn’t like this place. They have some amazing reviews and I thought it would be a hit. If it wasn’t for the bubble tea I’d be furious. The bubble tea was great. You could taste the tea. It didn’t taste like sugar water. The fruit flavors were prominent. The boba was tender. We ordered the passion fruit with boba and the lychee slush and the grapefruit. All of which were absolutely wonderful. I would go back for the tea alone. The food on the other hand was underwhelming. Firstly my husband nearly cracked one of his teeth and swallowed a small metal ball which was in the white rice served with the chicken teriyaki. There were 3 of them in the small container mixed in the rice. After having bit into one and swallowing it the second one he spit out to figure out what it is. I immediately called the store to inform them. The person who answered the phone said there’s nothing in the restaurant like that. Asked me to send pictures. I did. And he said they would give me a credit for when I come back next time. I don’t plan to. Finding unidentified metal in our food was beyond upsetting and I have 2 small children (5 and 1) who were eating the food too. Imagine if my husband’s tooth had broken or the kids ingested the metal. Thankfully he hasn’t had an adverse reaction as it’s 3 days later and so far he’s good. But this is unacceptable. The taste of the food was bland. Nothing I’d want to go back for. We had chicken teriyaki bento boxes 3 of them and a teriyaki dinner which is just double the chicken with no sushi or dumplings. For spending over $120 at this store to having our dinner ruined with metal found it was not a good experience. They only refunded one meal to compensate for the metal. I didn’t argue further but no concern was expressed for me telling them what happened. Not even a sorry. The immediate reaction was there is nothing here that could be in the food. But we didn’t put it there so how did it get There? Then We found a hair in the popcorn chicken that my 1 year old was eating. I didn’t even call back because it would make no difference they’d reluctantly give me $7 back. They can keep it. I ordered the lunch spenical of SPICY salmon , SPICY tuna and shrimp tempura roll ,that had no shrimp In it except for one. The order that I received was plain (non spicy ) salmon rolls and the tempura rolls that had soy sauce sauce spilled all over all of them, and only one of them had shrimp in it. Worst experience ever .so I called and them put me on hold for 30 min saying they would give me a number to send pictures to show proof it was wrong and to see the what the order looked like . So I hung up and recalled since it was a while I was on hold and he changed his story and said he was trying to find the women mean while she’s is always in the front and they are extremely close at all times . I did not want to post this review but they handled this horribly. They didn’t offer to remake my order or give me a refund .
