Caridad & Louie's Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

I ordered through Grubhub for my order to be picked up. Recieved my confirmation that my order was to be ready at 4:50 pm. I gave them until 5 pm...arrived at the restaurant and my food was still not ready. Finally at around 5:10 I was called with a "hey" which I guess meant that my food was ready to go. I picked up my bag and rushed off because I was going to be late to work messing around with these people if I didn't. After reaching work, I realized that my order was incorrect. On the Grubhub menu there is an order for a nacho combination that comes with mixed chicken with shrimp or beef. So out of the two options that I was given I chose shrimp. Which meant my nachos should've had mixed chicken and shrimp on them. When I opened the nachos, I had beef nachos. I do not eat beef AT ALL. When I called back, I got a rude female, who refused to give me her name, who proceeded to ask me if I knew how to read and write english when I explained why I was callingl and then I asked to speak to the owner or a manager after she refused to listen to me. I made every attempt to explain to her what was posted on Grubhub, but I was cut short and asked if I could read and write english. She didn't say we will fix it, bring it back and we will give you what you ordered, I'm sorry....NOTHING. I am a bachelor degree holder who can speak very good english and have no problems reading it or writing it. However, that should not matter a customer is customer whether they read and write english on a 1st grade level or college level. I spent $15.50 for nachos that I threw in the garbage. If grubhub's menu is wrong then the restaurant needs to update it or if the restaurant makes a mistake accept that you're at fault and make it right. I'm an African American who appears to be illiterate to them. I will never again step foot back into this restaurant. My money has no value to them. So this illiterate non english reading and writing person will spend her illiterate money elsewhere. The owner of this place really needs to teach their employees that customer service is important, and that they should be respectful towards customers no matter their ethnicity or what language they can read or write. There are many other establishments that I can order food from. To be belittled the way that I was is utterly ridiculous. They no longer have to worry about me patronizing their establishment. After being spoken to rudely, seeing one of the workers cough in their arm but not turning away from the food as well as taking note that someone came from sitting on the bench and go behind the food counter and fix their food without washing their hands and coming back to the bench to eat...

Great for take out to eat at home. To eat in, that's a different story. Been coming here for years to grab and go the usual family meal options. It's have been very good. Usually grab the rotisserie/flame grilled chicken, rice with beans. Sometime the pasteles and oxtail when they have em. So the food is good. Lately some stuff have been more salty then other times. Eating in. That's another story. Service is sub par. The plasric cover menu are dirty...yuk. my order of skirt steak came out slightly cold. It didn't help that it came out without my order of rice that was part of the meal, then we had to wait almost another 10mins for rice to come out..da hell? There's a stack of rice sitting under the hot table out front. 10mins......come on. The fried chicken chunks aren't as meaty as other places. The hostess where not very attentive. While they are too busy playing around and laughing with each other in the back corner by the kitchen door. Be careful not to double tip. They include the 15% tip into the bill. Yes....take a look at your bill. We where a party of 3 and the tip is already figured in. So becarefull. I would have rather left 10% for poor service. But at that point I just wanted to pay cash and leave. Don't think we will be dinning in ever again. This was the 2nd consecutive sub par dine in experience in a row at several...

I'd like to say this is my second time coming here. The food is good. I'm not Spanish so the language barrier is kind of crazy for me. I know a little bit a little bit of Spanish. Not too much but so I order my lunch. It's almost $20 right for the lunch that I got so I didn't see the chairs at first I was like oh wow they got chairs so I asked the guy hey Can I sit down he goes no papi you order food to go. You can't sit down. I said what really??? He goes then you can sit down for today and Lowe's good head in his phone, I said nah don't worry about it man and I left funny thing is me like you spend money to the go to the establishment not get it. Maybe he's busing tables so maybe he figures he get a tip but to tell somebody they can't sit down because they already ordered it to go. They didn't even ask me did I want to stay. They just assumed that I wanted to go. I'm coming from lunch but until that gets corrected man that guy is just not a good person. And I'm never go back there again. I don't care how good the fool is. Thanks
