Absolutely awful experience here. From the beginning there were red flags. When I walked in there were a few women at the register and they didnāt acknowledge me. Finally, one of them asked what I want, I asked for a menu and she said they have chicken sandwich or burger. And a few foods on a board written in Albanian. I asked what they were and she just said sausage. So essentially I was limited to the two sandwiches and whatever sausage. I asked about the chicken sandwich because I saw pictures of sandwiches online that looked good. She said it was chicken, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, ketchup. I ordered it but without ketchup because I hate ketchup. I saw her grab a hero bread so I asked if they could scoop the inside of the bread and she said no. When I got the sandwich it looked weak. Barely anything going on in there. Pickles and tomato were missing and they put ketchup. I didnāt notice the ketchup until I took a bite and I got this gross sweet taste. The lettuce was old terrible. So I told her they put ketchup on and I wanted to change to something else since honestly the sandwich was bad. She obliged and let me have a plate of rice and chicken in cream sauce. They have some already prepared hot foods which I only found out about after I ordered and looked around. Maybe she could have told me about that lunch food when I asked about the menu? Anyway I got the plate and it was so salty. The grilled chicken itself was a little too salty but the yellow cream sauce was way too salty. I had to remove the sauce with a napkin. The rice was pretty good but chicken was just too salty. Now I have a stomachache as well. Feel terrible....

This place is one that was much needed in the community. I can't think of any other place that offers typical market items, go to deli food, and wholesome Albanian home food all on the same bill. Our family meal was delicious: the cevapa were phenomenally cooked, not too oily, and not dried out from overcooking; the qofte were exploding with flavor, and probably some of the best I've had, after my grandmother's of course; the others described the burek as light and not the kind that weighs you down after you eat it. The extras on the plates, the cabbage salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, were all fresh and the cabbage salad was seasoned well, without that tart bite of staleness. Seems like freshness is their goal in everything, big plus.
Aside from the food, this place has great atmosphere, and seems like a place I'll be bringing my family to quite often. Don't forget the snacks and food for the house on your way out after your meal. Yes, it's that convenient!
The owner is a great guy, and I'm very happy someone had the idea to open up a family welcoming market available to the people of Westchester...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. One of the biggest issues I had was the pricing. The prices listed online were completely different from what I was charged in-storeāsignificantly higher. It felt misleading and honestly pretty frustrating.
On top of that, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for what they charge. I left feeling like I had overpaid for what was essentially a snack, not a meal. Overall, between the inconsistent pricing and the tiny portions, I wonāt be coming back or recommending this...
