The food is amazing! The gate is truly authentic! The owners are not using average ingredients they actually buys the best quality ingredients possible, i know because I buy from the same wholesale restaurants buys from, i saw the boxes once when they were bringing them inside! I love everything about this Resturant … the prices are perfect matching the PORTION you get! I hate when some restaurants serve tiny bit of hummus and baba ghanough! The plates from shawarma & more are full and heavy and satisfying! One plate actually is good for all 4 of us as a family! Both shawarma types (chicken or beef) tastes amazing! The filling is perfect! It’s not just plain meat but also some pickles and sauces and herbs! The sauces for the shawarma are also well balanced! Both the garlic sauce and the tahini sauce! THERE IS ONE ISSUE BUT it’s worth the time! The few extra minutes that you spend waiting for your food is defiantly a good thing for you! You cannot sacrifice the taste! Many restaurants sever a little dagger but that’s because the taste is below average and the ingredients are HALF MISSING! Trust me it will be with your wait! So far I have tried everything! The pies are alone a UNIQUE STORY! The guy who orante them is actually a guy who ran and manger a very well known pastry shot in the city of irbid in jordan! Called (rayashi & ammourah) right in front of one main gate of the YARMOUK UNIVERSITY!! The filling is also FULL the folded edges of these pies are NOT empty like many Resturant do lol. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Do not come here if you are a woman unaccompanied by a man because they will treat you like a 2nd class citizen

I’ve visited a couple of times in the past, but tonight I visited for the first time with just my mom (no male relatives).

We placed our order and all seemed well. While we were waiting for our food, a group of men came in and placed their orders at the counter.

20 mins passed and there was still no sign of our food. BUT the group of men that arrived at least 10mins after us, had already received a chicken shawarma platter. I then made eye contact with one of the workers, who seemed to react as though they had completely forgotten about our order. He then seemed to tell the other workers to prep our food, meanwhile they had all very clearly prioritized the orders of the men who came in after us. I mean their food was literally laid out on the counter, ready to go, before any of our dishes were prepped.

This was blatant sexism, make no mistake about it. We were the only women in the entire establishment and these men who arrived at least 10 minutes after us were clearly prioritized over us. We also did not receive any type of acknowledgement or apology for what added up to a 30 minute wait for 1 chicken shawarma, 1 order of baba ganoush (already prepped) & 1 order of chicken and rice.
