Hi, I was a paying customer here and I've ordered from here multiple times and almost always had great experiences. On occasion I would have some minor ingredient mix ups and it would normally be okay. Well today on 7/3/20, I ordered a Torta without Jalapenos and Avocados because I am very allergic to avocados. I had ordered on Grubhub and it was listed as no avocados or jalapenos because of my allergy and the store even acknowledged it as well. When I received the order everything was perfectly labeled and I had no such reason to believe that my sandwich labeled as NO Jalapenos or Avocados would have avocados in it. I had to take my allergy medication upon realizing the food had avocados in it because of my allergic reaction and afterwards I inspected the food and noticed it had avocados which I had not open to see earlier due to the outside labeling. After my reaction, I called the store to inform them of their sandwich and the boss (all other employees heard my concern over the phone and passed it over to him) responded with "That is impossible! In all the 30 years of working in the food industry we have never made a mistake and I personally made the food and there is no such possibility I made a mistake.". Now, I normally let things go but this man kept telling me that I was lying and making a mistake because he could never make a mistake and so I was deeply disheartened by this rude customer service but alas I was able to secure a refund but no apology. I will admit that after a frustrating conversation of being accused of lying I dropped one f-bomb in the conversation out of frustration and I apologize for doing so but the reality of the situation was that I HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION THAT COULD HAVE KILLED ME! I normally support mom and pop shops given the economic climate of the day but the boss of this business was very rude to me, failed to accept fault on his behalf, and insinuated I was lying. Read moreI have been coming to this place for years. He was actually my customer. He was always hospitable and the food was so good and more importantly fresh. Then my job changed and I became his customer. My organization had the task for feeding young adults and teenagers across the 5 boroughs several nights a week and they used on line ordering g to accomplish it. It was always a nightmare, there was always an issue. Either the food was unhealthy or not appetizing they didn't provide utensils or plates, and often the young people we were servicing did not even try to take the food. I asked the owner if he could provide his service in all of the 5 boroughs for us. If he could deliver it with all the utensils, drinks, and napkins. He first had everything packed so nicely in boxes then he evolved to bags as he saw some kids waited to eat and wanted to take it home, so he made it easy for them. The process is so much more organized, he made everyones job easier and the you g people feel like they are treated pretty special with this set up. It had a positive impact on how we service our youth and most importantly, he made me look good 😉. I had one of the instructors tell me thT he hates tacos as he scarfed down his meal last night, but he said this is sooooo fresh, he never had it taste so good. Another concern on the admin side that they were concerned with was that the kids would have the same cuisine every week. But the owner is experienced at catering and knows how to switch it up. So next week paninis and the coordinators were excited. I would say if you have stressed over food management just call the owner Emigdio, let him handle it. Read morePLEASE READ. Coming from a regular customer this is enough already. I order from here a lot & this isn’t the first time that my order is wrong. I’m VERY disappointed. The owner clearly doesn’t care about his customers (I’ve spoken to him before & he was dismissive). I ordered the supposed enchiladas and received a bowl of mush!!! The menu CLEARLY states a set of THREE. Well folks, I received a rice bowl with beans & meat pretty much. The tortillas are on the bottom of the dish and complete disgusting When I say mush I mean MUSH. These are not authentic Mexican enchiladas & once again, their menu does not state what you’re actually getting. WANT TO HEAR THE BEST PART? They wouldn’t change my order!!! Incredible! I said I wanted to change to the quesadillas and she flat out told me NO that they would have to charge me for a new order because it’s cheaper nor take back this mush nastiness. I’m beyond appalled after a long day of filming this is not what my starving belly wants to hear. Mind you, I spent $60 f%+! Dollars this time! (It’s usually around $50.) When i call to ask im told that she agrees they aren’t authentic like she makes at home, but that that’s how the owner makes them. I will NEVER order from here again. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY. Don’t believe me? Try ordering & if they mess up, they take zero responsibility & I’m just waiting to hear the response from them on this one because there’s no excuse to rip off your regular customers.
