Gianna’s Deli is hands down one of the best Italian delis in Yonkers. You can feel the love coming out of the kitchen from the moment you walk in. Everything is made fresh, and the creativity behind the menu sets it apart from the usual deli experience.

I had The Good Girl sandwich, fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and balsamic glaze, and it was perfectly balanced, crispy, and flavorful. I also had The Rene, a stacked chicken cutlet hero with mozzarella, avocado, and spicy ranch. Unreal.

One of the most unique things I tried was their fried mozzarella donut, imagine a mozzarella stick shaped like a donut, covered in marinara. I attempted a cheese pull and failed, but it still tasted incredible.

I washed it all down with their Italian coffee soda, which was a delicious surprise, like a fizzy espresso cream soda. Finished off the meal with both a classic and a chocolate cannoli, and both were excellent.

Then, I met this sandwich. Billy's Son. It's a simple combo—chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, (I added cheese), and mayo—but the execution is proof that we live in a benevolent universe. The chicken cutlet was the absolute star. It was the Goldilocks of cutlets: not too thick, not too thin, and perfectly textured. The freshness, the mayo, and then the pure, bliss of that chicken. I swear, while eating it, I felt an actual emotional connection to the person who made it. It tasted like the sandwich maker looked me in the eye and said, "I know you're having a day, but this is going to make it better." DEIL in the northeast there's a reason the word family is in there title cause they are family they treat you like family the food is so delicious they have a variety from homemade meatballs to sautéed grilled chicken, chicken cutlets meatloaf you name it they can make it they have a delicious meat department as well the butcher has the best sausages turkey & Swiss chicken burgers everything!
