My go-to place to meet friends, join a reunion group for years. I had zero conflict with anyone but apparently because someone associated with my group had a problem with the female server a year before, when I went for my birthday with my sister and my daughter for dinner, a bunch of the reunion friends were there also. My sister, daughter and I were waiting, waiting for service - nothing. I politely got up and approached the server and she said she would not serve my table and I was to go to the bar to order because I was associated with this person she had a problem with a year ago???? Huh? I literally thoght she was kidding. I was embarrassed and had the worst birthday thanks to her. What I realized later that among about 20 persons who were all ordering food from the different small groups of Yonkers reunion people, they all were made to go up to the bar (which was busy on its own) and try and order food and drinks the entire night because she refused to serve any of the groups even though apparently her problem was with one single person that by the way wasn't even having dinner with me that night. Management should approach this totally differently as this is not th way to do business and no customer should be treated the way I was on my birthday. I was descriminated...
Read moreAfter a sweltering day, our family sought a relaxing dinner and drinks. However, our experience was marred by a dress code enforcement that appeared inconsistent and arbitrary. Our son was asked to cover his tank top, which we respected as a house rule. Yet, we observed other patrons dressed in similar attire, specifically women dressed tank tops and sports bras, without any comment from the staff.
The situation escalated when my husband inquired about this discrepancy with one of the owners. The response, citing her male partner's rule against exposed armpit hair, felt both discriminatory and perplexing. This justification, coupled with the apparent double standard in enforcing the dress code, left us deeply dissatisfied.
Such uneven application of rules, especially when explained with what seemed like a biased rationale, significantly detracted from our dining experience. As a result, we will not be returning to this establishment, as the handling of the situation did not align with our expectations of fair and...
Read morebeen here twice since the renovations. Once to listen to a friend's band that was playing there. First time, sat in the bar area for dinner. 10 mins and wasn't greeted. Finally, went up to the bar and ordered drinks. Bartender didn't offer to get a waitress or anything. I finally stuck my head around into the other room and the space where a waitress was in the alley. She said she'd be right over. 10 more mins and she finally dropped off menus. Got another drink from the bartender because the waitress disappeared. She finally showed up 10 mins later and took our order. I guess the rest of the time was ok, although she didn't really make herself available. Food was pretty good though. I will say that. Second time, I came with 4 friends and we couldn't get parking. Lot was packed. It was a regular Friday night. Circled the block 3 times looking for a spot on the street and couldn't find a thing, so we left and went to...
