Reno Trattoria – A Simply Great Italian Restaurant in Yonkers, NY
Recently, my wife and I went to Yonkers for a anniversary weekend getaway. After completing a community service event, driving a couple hours to leave the City and shopping for a few more hours, we decided to have dinner at an Italian restaurant. Several positive online reviews led us to Reno Trattoria on Lockwood Avenue. We thank the people who took the time to upload their positive assessments of this great family-oriented restaurant with good and delicious food and even greater dining ambience. We highly recommend Reno Trattoria for a couple’s night out, family or group celebration or the place to fulfill your craving for tasty Italian food. In fact, a large graduation party of a dozen or more people were celebrating at a table adjacent to ours. One of my favorite dishes is linguine, mussels, shrimp, clams and calamari with a marinara based sauce. I forget the formal name. Regardless, it is simply scrumptious at Reno Trattoria. The chef combines the right mixture and amounts of seasonings to satisfy any picky, persnickety or polished palate. After the entrée, I enjoyed a fulfilling and freshly brewed cappuccino and homemade cheesecake both of which I savored because of the richness of each sip and bite. Exceeding the tastiness of the cuisine is the exquisiteness of the service. The wait staff works as a team meeting the needs of all diners. You will not be without water, cheese, black pepper or anything else you need or would like for any length of time. They do not restrict themselves to specific tables. They ensure diners are taken care of and are pleased. Their pleasant and respectful demeanor enhances your dining experience at Reno Trattoria. They make you feel as if you were guests in their home. They embody the very best of New York dining. Simply, if your travels bring you to Yonkers, NY and you desire some of the best Italian cuisine which you may have ever had, travel to Lockwood Avenue where you will find...
Read moreThis place was more than a restaurant it was a true Italian family dinner. The atmosphere there is perfect. U feel at home as soon as u walk thru the door. The people there make sure u have plenty to eat drink and be happy about. Just like going to a family holiday meal. I would recommend this place to everyone. The inside of this restaurant has a very cozy feel to it & the style & decor ; very classy. The food is delicious. Like i said, as soon as u walk thru the door they greet u with sincerity and when u are seated they immediately make sure u are fed. They bring u warm bread and butter and the meals are indescribable. We had about 4 couples at our table and we ate off each others plates and every thing I tried was absolutely delicious. Honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been there. So if u like the "warm welcoming cozy feel" when u go to a restaurant and enjoy just sitting and having a nice homemade dinner with the people u love, then give this place a try. I promise I will not be...
Read more06/23/24 1 pm through 245 pm For the most part service was on point, we had Marisela and Elsmo attending our table. Every thing was fine up until about 215 pm when the couple next table complained about sword fish meal they ordered. I observed that the female was gentle and said that her fish was somewhat undercooked. She was polite and did not ask for replacement or a refund. Elsmo who was also attending that table was visibly upset and for the rest of my visit, he seemed distant and short with my table. Overall, no food complaints at out table. We shared the Lasagna alla Zia Elisa, pasta e fagioli soup, bottle of red wine, arugula con Gorgonzola, coffee and the chocolate lava cake. I am a bariaric patient so I asked Elsmo and Marisela to space out our meal so I could complete without rush. No issues what so ever. Street parking on Sunday in a breeze. We hope to visit and give this place...
