Saints & Scholars — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

Not sure if this place isn’t colored people friendly or their service just sucks or both. I came to visit for the first time after seeing an instagram video and when I arrived it took someone at least 15 mins to approach us for seating. After we were seated we went unapproached again for another 20 mins before we decided to just get up and leave. I understand when things are busy it can obviously result in a slower service but when I can see waiters checking on all the tables around me and deliberately not coming over to mine, I think that’s something different. It’s disappointing but honestly I don’t really care that deeply. This wasnt some place I was dying to go. The menu was underwhelming. I just wanted a drink but I have no problem giving my money to another place that treats their customers better.

ALSO they only accept cash??? and don’t list that anywhere online or on google...

I just heard about this place from the meet up I was going to was there. Upon arrival I was able to find meter free parking directly across the street. The outside appearance was very nice and welcoming and had some outdoor seating that covered by a awning. Our small group decided to dine inside which by the way was very nicely decorated. I have photos attracted to this review. I had ordered the Pornstar Martini to start off and later had the 10oz burger that was absolutely delicious and amazing. After that I had the tres leches cake that came with a freshly sliced strawberry, whipped cream and a little cup of vanilla ice cream. Lastly I had a glass of Guinness which is by far my favorite choice of beer.

The food here is outrageously priced for this neighborhood (Manhattan prices)and it’s simply bad value. Parking is a problem because they have no car park which many other establishments in this area do provide. Why is it only a cash bar when all the other main restaurants accept credit cards ? The bartender (who calls himself the business owner ,real owner isT.K.)has a severe attitude problem and should find another source of employment. Overall it is not suited to this neighborhood ,but there are many more suitable,affordable, bars and restaurants in this area that do provide great value for money,,will accept credit cards ,have valet /private parking and friendly staff.
