La Grotta — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

We've been here before, and we keep coming back for more. We joined some friends here for an early dinner, we had the restaurant to ourselves for only about a half hour before people started coming in and filling up. We had a drink at the bar first and then were seated promptly. Service was amazing, from the front desk, to the bar, to the table, we were always treated special. We started with a grilled octopus appetizer, which was served on a nice salad with red onions and baby mixed greens. This was this was so amazing, when I come back again I'm going to ask for this is my entrée, it was out of this world. I did have the pork shank with linguine, in a brown sauce that was out of this world, other dishes at the table were the pasta with mushrooms, a chef specialty, lamb shank with linguine, ,and veal Parmesan.This restaurant also offers live music on certain evenings, definitely a place to go with adult friends for an...

This restaurant was horrible!!! It does not even deserve 1 star. I ordered a Cesar salad the parmesan Cheese was stale the dressing was a horrible olive oily mixture of something. The waitress who's name was Margaret was very aggressive and rude. We waited for over 30 minutes for our entree when we asked about the meal she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager very aggressively then stated " We were waiting for you to eat your salad before we serve you you have to tell us when you are ready for your meal. I was so appalled and at this point ready to leave. After observation I did notice that perhaps she had a slight mental problem or maybe she was a special person slightly touched therefore I didn't complain to the manager. The decor was nice however the food was not that great overall I would defiantly not recommend...

I can't believe it has been a few days since my wedding reception. I cannot thank the staff at La Grotta enough for their hard work and especially Ron, the event manager for making our day special. Ron made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we have nothing to worry about. The room was decorated beautiful. The upstairs space was great! The recent renovations in the upstairs space came out wonderful. The food was plentiful and so good!! My family and friends especially raved about their Penna A La Vodka, Chicken Park and the White fish dish. I would definitely booked and hold my event at La Grotta. as long as Ron is their their you have nothing to...
