Although they are very skilled in here, are open on Sunday, get there before opening to accommodate, and have many supplies; the truth is this new salon is not peaceful and they do not sanitize all their tools like the drill bits, files, and brushes (which should be put into a machine that they do not even have). Hymie is fantastic and so is Wendy, Fiona, Melissa, and Ajoe; but, Kelly is the epitome of terrible customer service. She is in there trying to get likes instead of serving , she doesn’t listen to what you need, disregarded my concern for unsanitary tools, twisted my finger until it cracked and hurt me and didn’t apologize , was nasty with me when I was looking at a mistake she made, argued with me over my nail choice, and got defensive with me even though I just started going there that “SHE KNOWS MY NAIL SHAPE! as she proceeded to do it wrong. My top coat peeled off after one day and Kelly and ViVi tried to tell me that’s normal after it cost me an extra 20 dollars. When I asked to have someone else do my nails , Kelly spoke in Chinese in a nasty tone as if we as humans actually need to understand actual words to know what someone is saying. She even said something as I walked out the door as I politely wished everyone well. She is unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. I also watched the owner’s female partner take a file out of the Garbage and barked something in Chinese and proceeded to put it in one of the manicure stations drawers without sanitizing it. There are 9 zillion nail salons in Westchester, I’m good: This one is not peaceful, as some of the workers are loud, chatty, and annoying. And, moreover; incredibly unpleasant , noncompliant with the standards of safety, and unprofessional.
*Edit. I got a fungus from this salon. Don’t go...
Read moreReally love the work they do but the communication regarding wait times is poor. I've gone twice as a walk in without an appointment and asked both times how long the wait would be, I have no problem making an appointment for another day and coming back if it's a long wait. Both times were for a basic pedicure.
The first time I was told 20 minutes. I was not seated in a chair for over an hour and they didn't begin the service for another 15-20 minutes. They apologized and claimed someone was out sick.
The second time, today, I was told the wait would be "not long". After 35 minutes I asked how much longer and he was unclear, obviously a little overwhelmed, but I believe he said 20 more minutes and that it shouldn't have been a 35 minute wait for a regular pedicure. I explained again that if someone would have just said it would be a long wait I would have come back another day. At this point 3 other people were complaining for the same reason - not being correctly told how long the wait was and they had all been there over an hour.
At no point was there an apology or an attempt to help rectidy the situation and come to a solution. He was very clearly overwhelmed, maybe even frustrated with the day. But while speaking he just kept looking elsewhere and I didn't quite feel like he was listening to me.
They do fantastic work which is the only reason I'm not giving them 1 star. But if you don't have an appointment you are risking being completely forgotten about and having a truly...
Read moreI came here for a regular mani and pedi. It was super busy so I waited for about 5 minutes before they sat me down at a pedi station. I waited for another 10ish minutes with the massager on the chair, which was nice.
The lady who did my mani and pedi was nice and gentle but I felt the service was so rushed. Nails were barely soaked and when doing my pedi, she used the sandpaper tool on my heels for about 5 seconds in the most gentle way. I appreciated the gentleness but I felt like it was pointless because that level of gentleness did not do anything for my heels. Especially with a quick pass like she did.
Then she moved on to my mani which was the most disappointing part. Again, the service felt rushed. My nails were not soaked enough and my cuticles were not treated properly. She barely pushed them back and cleaned them which was frustrating because that was actually the whole reason why I went to get a manicure.
The color part of the service was fine. My nails looked fine. But when I took off the nail polish just a few days later, I realized how bad my cuticles looked.
The regular mani/pedi only costs $46 which is a good price but the service just not worth it for me. I will not...
