I have been coming to this diner for years and I have to say I was very disappointed with the service during my visit. Everything was fine until I noticed my mother was not eating her meal and then I asked her why. She said, "The food is burnt and it does not taste well, but it's okay. I don't want to make a complaint about it." My dad, wanting my mother to enjoy her meal and since he's paying for it, decided to tell the owner/manager about it. As he's trying to explain the situation to her, she rudely cuts him off by saying "no, it's look like she ate some of it and we asked if everything was ok earlier so there's nothing we can do" and then walks away without hearing my father out. I thought this was a very rude manner for an owner of a business to treat a loyal customer who has been coming here for years. My dad decides to tell the waitress as well and she responds in the same manner as the manager. We then sat there for quite some time waiting for someone to help us resolve our situation, but restaurant decided to simply ignore us. In conclusion, my father ended up paying for the meal he was not satisfied with, but left feeling disregarded. Its very disappointing as I used to recommend this diner to everyone saying it's the best diner in Yonkers but it appears things have changed here. It's unfortunate, but we will not be returning here anymore and will be taking our...
Read moreLet me first start off by saying, I have been a patron of 7 Brothers Diner for over 25 years. This morning, I went in for breakfast, all good there. I paid my bill in cash and left the restaurant. Upon going to get gas, and using the change that I got from the diner to pay for my gas, I'm told that the bills were counterfeit. I go back to the diner to let them know. I explain to the owner that the bills I received were fake. I told him that I did not think that it was an intentional act but wanted to let him know and if he can please check the cameras as he would see that I was in fact there and that I paid with a $100 bill and received 2 real $20 and $2 fake ones. He became very indignant and told me that it was not his problem, and basically accused me of lying. First of all, I have spent a lot of money at this diner over the last 25 years and would have no reason to lie. Second, as a regular patron, and to handle the situation in this manner, tells me that they do not value their REGULAR customers. My issue is not that I did not get the money back, because I didn't check before I left, but the attitude and the void of any customer service is very disturbing. Needless to say, I will not be going back. If paying in cash, be sure to check your change before you leave! Lesson learned and...
Read moreIn general this diner is decent. My boyfriend likes the pancakes , beef sausage and pink lemonade and I usually go for an omelette. Service is always good in person. Now this review is based on my experience today with my Delivery order. We usually come in person but occasionally we do delivery. We come frequently to town for work. Today we ordered. Same order as always. I distinctively asked for Utensils both on the box asking if we wanted as well in 2 different areas on the notice I even stated we are staying at a hotel we need utensils please. I also asked for extra butter/syrup. When my order arrived there were no utensils, 1 butter, 1 syrup and no ketchup or salt/pepper for the home fried potatoes we also ordered. Nobody is eating a short stack with 1 butter or syrup. And even if this is standard policy I asked for an extra. This was frustrating but what was most frustrating is when I called to tell them they told me I didn't ask for it and went on and on just defending themselves saying I didn't ask for it. No apologies. At all for nothing. Please see the receipt which was attached to the beg they stapled. This is far from the service we get in person but do better. Don't argue with a customer when you are clearly wrong. Under no circumstances was this excellent customer...
