The Pub — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

Has recently been rebranded as “The Pub” - there’s less on the menu but still a pretty decent selection for pub grub! The fries here are what we come back for, they’re so fresh and crispy! Everything else food wise, however, is pretty average. We came during a busy lunch hour and a lot of customers’ drinks were being forgotten, incorrect food orders etc. and our poor waiter was running all over the place. However the star of our experience was Maitre Nohar, the super friendly and sweet busser who went out of her way to help the waiter and do her best to help all the customers. The food was decently priced and the atmosphere was unique. The quality of the food was mediocre at best. The service, however, was awful. We were there for approximately 1.5 hrs. That whole time, our waiter came to our table, at most, 5 times. He never asked how our food was and he NEVER refilled our water glasses the entire time we were there. It took about 15 minutes for him to return with drinks after we ordered them. We sat waiting for a while for the check. I eventually got up and went to the hostess and had her print the check. Just want to thank the manager for reprimanding me like I was a child. A situation happened a few weeks ago. Yes I was totally wrong, what I said was uncalled for and regret it to this day. I APOLOGIZED to the party involved. I was having lunch the other day, the manager came over to my table, and OMG. It was like I was a child in school and taken to the principals office. The things that were said to me were totally uncalled for and very unprofessional. To many things to mention. It was not even what was said, but the tone is was said to me. Using that tone of voice in front of other diners and the staff. OMG. Back in school! Who needs to...
