Buccilli's Pizza of Clare — Restaurant in Clare

Let me start by saying that I love the pizza from there, however I will never eat there again. I ordered their special:! two large pizzas 11 bucks apiece and asked for extra cheese. I have done that for a year and I’m only charged for extra cheese. I leave paying slightly under $30 for my two large pizzas. The last time I ordered the exact same order and was charged $45 because the extra cheese now makes it a premium pizza and not eligible for the discount. No one told me that on the phone. The owner came out and talked to me at my car and I told her that I hoped the extra money was worth it to her because I would never order there again.

The owner could have cared less about the service she gave to me. Never have I received bad service until the actual owner got involved. She could have offered to split the difference with me. She could have looked at my history and would have been able to tell that I was telling the truth. she could have given it to me for the price I had always paid and told me from now on it would more. She could have said I’m sorry, but she didn’t. She was somewhat condescending and acted like I just didn’t understand what was going on when I have done this for a year. I know EXACTLY what was going on.

What I do know for sure is this: I ended up paying between 15 and $20 for some extra cheese on two pizzas. No matter what the manager claims, no one told me the price before I got there or told me what would happen with the bill. I would have just left off the extra cheese had I known. It’s the worst customer service that I have ever experienced.

I will never order there again unless they change the owners and I don’t think that’s likely. From now on The Depot in Lake George gets all of my business. Their pizza is cheaper, just as good, they have great service and they aren’t greedy! ...

Went to my grandson's basketball game we all came there to have lunch afterwards. I asked them is that all you make is pepperoni and just cheese pizza spreme pizza also does this pizza have mushrooms on it and she said yes it does I said oh I'm highly allergic to mushrooms. can you please make me a supreme pizza without mushrooms she said no we cannot this is what we make. I said okay I asked for the manager but the owner came out she says I highly suggest you to order a whole pizza and not order off the buffet if you are allergic to mushrooms. She said we crossamination here on the buffet. I said by law you cannot cross crossamination your food and she said I talk to the health department and they said it's okay. I said so you can't make me a fresh pizza without mushrooms here on the buffet she said no she said you can order a whole pizza we can make sure it's not cross-daminated. So I did not eat my whole family and grandchildren ate we spent over $100 at that place I will never ever go back to that place again. I highly adjust if you have any kind of allergies you should not go there because they don't care about their customers customer should come first no matter what. Please check your receipts .They had 4 sierra mist one pepsi . We onel had one water two sierra...

The place is small and diner-ish, but very clean (including the bathrooms). Service was excellent. We came 45 minutes before closing and our server was so accommodating; she changed up the kids' pasta from spaghetti and marinara to penne and pesto (with one big, wonderfully herbed meatball in the middle of the plate).

My husband got penne with marinara and said it was just okay. His side salad was big and fresh, but mostly lettuce. The salad had grated cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes and croutons. The pasta entrees also came with garlic bread, which was big and crusty and saturated with salty garlic butter.

I, however, got a small veggie delight pizza and added Canadian bacon and extra sauce. I haven't had pizza that sublime since I went to Rome! It was amazing! The texture... crispy, chewy crust, delicious sauce, lots of toppings... My only complaint was, wait for it, there was almost TOO much cheese. It overwhelmed the other flavors a bit, but the extra sauce helped.

It's not a fancy place, but wow, that pizza...
