I had plans with another restaurant for 30 people, part of a family reunion. With less than 48 hours before my event the restaurant I had plans with had equipment failure and could not accommodate. I was pretty distraught. I called several places who could accommodate but expect delays or just could not with the short notice. My husband and I have visited Casa Jalisco twice in the past and I quickly remembered the large open concept, great food and yummy drinks. I called with my fingers crossed. Heather was so pleasant and reassuring on the phone, just what I needed at this stressful time. Humberto greeted us at the door welcoming our family. Both telling me no problem no worries. Boy did they save the day. They accommodated us in one area, my party of 30. Service was attentive and quick. I’m not sure how they did it with other patrons at their facility. It felt like we had their total attention. The food and drinks were wonderful, pleasing all. And they pulled off a little happy birthday as well. I am so grateful to Heather, Humberto and the team. I will forever sing your praises and will see you soon!

We have always loved their restaurant out on the east side of Newport. We were thrilled when this one threatened to open. This seems to be larger seating than the Newport location. And, the bar is very accommodating. Staff is friendly, service was a little slow - but it was 7PM on a busy Friday night, so to be expected. The carnitas were excellent, as were the chimichangas. My daughter devoured her chicken quesadillas. I love their tamales, so when I’m hungry enough, I enjoy them for dessert. We had out of town guests, and we had zero leftovers. This will be our go to in Claremont. We desperately needed a place like this!

Great locally owned Mexican restaurant with ample menu choices and delicious margaritas. Family friendly with kind and attentive waiters. We went on a Monday afternoon, after 2pm, with a group of 7 and had no wait. The Hawaii Fajitas were incredible! Delicious, sweet pineapple flavor with plenty of pineapple chucks mixed in with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, chicken, shrimp, and scallops. The house margarita is great, too, and amply sized!

We went here for the second time last night and were disappointed mostly with the service. We at at the bar to have dinner and it was pretty apparent there was no bartender on for the evening so each server was coming to the back to prepare their own drinks for their guests. We did not get welcomed by our server for the first ten minutes. Our order took over I half an hour to come out which I understand is possible on a very busy night, but it was not bumping busy. My husband's plate came out and mine did not come out until he was almost finished and my order was wrong. All of this wouldn't have bothered me if our server had a good attitude. He didn't attempt to apologize or offer anything chips and salsa, or maybe just smile and assure us he would make our visit more enjoyable. Instead he gave very poor attitude and slammed my food down when he brought it out corrected. I didn't even get my side of sour cream or guac, which I did not even bother asking for at that point. We did not complain, maintained pleasant vibes and left a decent tip, but I will not be going back. Only reason we went was because Rancho Viejo was closed. Their food and service far exceeds Casa Jalisco. I will say though, Casa Jalisco is an extremely clean...

I was excited to try this place because we don't have any Mexican places around. Atmosphere was fine. I ordered a combo beef Taco and steak quesodilla with onions peppers sour cream and Taco sauce. My order was wrong. I got a quesodilla with steak and greese. My Taco was a chicken Taco. And no sour cream or Taco sauce. I had to go tell the waitress it was not right. She proceeded to make drinks for another table. About 10 min she comes over and takes my meal I explain what was wrong and she went away. 10 min later she says would you like a dessert for free? I said I was hoping you were having the right order come. So then someone comes over with her and let's me know that the waitress was new. .. I said okay I understand but can someone fix my order. My husband has just finished his last bite as. We wait around for another 25 min. My food finally comes out to go which I wanted. But guess what......there was no sour cream again. I truly am bummed and will try again. My meal was taken off the bill and I'm glad I had some good company to enjoy and the salsa and chips were a...
