I stopped in the Clark, NJ location of smoothie king today and experienced great customer service from the staff. A man came in to complain about his drive through order as I was ordering my smoothie and I don’t know the name of the employee who handled the situation but he was extremely calm and professional in his response to the man. The man was rude, cursing at the employee, calling him names, and his behavior towards the employee was disgusting and uncalled for. The staff at this location were friendly and apologized to me for having to witness the interaction. I work in customer service too and understand customers being upset at times but this behavior is not okay towards anyone. I always come to this location and will be back again soon due to their professionalism and great customer service. Read moreI live in the area and started coming here to get smoothies for my family in the evenings. However, after several visits, I’m really disappointed with the customer service. Out of the seven times I’ve been here, at least five have been unpleasant.
Each time I go through the drive-thru, I’m greeted with a flat, monotone “What would you like?”—as if the person doesn’t want to be there. When I pull up to the window, there’s no warmth, no professionalism—just coldness. The entire experience feels unwelcoming, as if I’m inconveniencing them rather than being a valued customer.
It’s frustrating because this location is so convenient for me, but after experiencing this repeatedly, it seems like this isn’t just an off day—it’s the standard here.
