On Wednesday, November 5, at around 10 a.m., I went to the Clark White Diamond Diner. At the time we went, there were some parking spots, and we were able to find parking pretty fast. However, I will admit that there are not a lot of spots and that the diner itself is pretty small. I did not consider that to be a bad thing though, because when we went, there were enough spots, and we were seated right when we walked in. If you are going in a bigger group, I suggest going a bit earlier in the morning because there are about five booths. However, we did not have an issue with this. Right when we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated, and we ordered within minutes of our arrival. The hostess was very friendly and attentive. The food also came out very fast. We ordered a New Jersey burger, a breakfast burger, chili cheese fries, and mac and cheese bites, and the portions were big. It was $27 for everything we got, which I thought was pretty great for the amount we ordered. Almost everything on the menu was around $5-10, so I found it to be very affordable. The majority of the options were breakfast items, fries, hot dogs, and burgers, and I did not see too many other options for specific diets such as gluten-free. We were served in under 10 minutes after ordering, so the wait time was very short. There were a lot of other people there early in the morning, but it was nice seeing how many groups of friends came for breakfast because it seemed like it was their morning tradition. I thought the food tasted great, and it was very filling. I highly recommend the mac and cheese bites (those were my favorite). The diner itself looked very old school, with lots of nice decorations, and I noticed a bunch of pictures dating back to the 1950s, though I am not completely sure. Overall, I thought the food and atmosphere were great, and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a more...
Read moreI tried giving the morning crew another chance only to be disappointed again. I come here with my boyfriend usually later in the day for their delicious smash burgers so we decided to give the morning time another shot for breakfast after a previous ‘okay’ experience.
I don’t understand how it could take so long to get toast and even longer to get drinks after our food was already getting cold and others who arrived after us were fully served and catered to.
We both got the same breakfast platter with bacon and eggs over easy but the eggs were completely fried. The lady with the fake blue eyes working there looked confused when we wanted a new set of eggs. Then my boyfriend had to go get another fork from behind the counter since they didn’t bother providing utensils after taking the last eggs back. The only thing good on the platter was the bacon. The eggs were watery and flavorless and the hash browns were barely brown. We didn’t mind paying the extra 50¢ per egg but this was just unacceptable. Overall, while everyone else was being checked on periodically, no one bothered to check on us for anything even after the mishap until we were walking out the door.
I decided to take a single Cali cheeseburger to-go hoping it would fix the experience and of course it just had to be another disappointment. This is what inevitably led me to writing the review. Not only was the bread used obnoxiously big but the burger itself (photo) just looked absolutely disgusting. The guy behind the grill with the tacky shaped-up beard cannot cook for the life of him. I can see why there’s a help wanted sign outside. It was not worth spending $30+ including a tip. We’re done...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting the White Diamond Diner earlier today, and I couldn't be more pleased with my visit. If you want to get a true taste of what the 1950 diner atmosphere was in 2024, this is the place to go. The diner itself is small, but stands out as a prefabricated diner that was created by the Paramount Dining Company. Upon driving to this location, it is rather simple, as this place is hard to miss, it looks like a building straight out of a time machine. To get to the parking lot, it can be a little tricky with oncoming traffic, but not impossible. With a medium size parking lot, there is always a spot open. Allowing for an easy parking experience. Upon entering the diner, you are met with appeal from the 40's, 50's, and 60's, which is pretty cool to get that nice little trip down history lane. To experience what people back then saw. While it is a bit confusing on ordering food upon entering, the staff there is eager to help and invite a welcoming environment, as they are patient and recommend great options, all while making jokes and conversation. The wait for the food was maybe no more than 10 minutes, as we got our food almost right away, even during the rush hour of 5 o'clock. As we ate, the food was prepared to perfection, full of flavor, and left you plenty full. In all, My family and myself paid $20, a great steal of a couple of burgers, sides, and drinks. I highly recommend...
