The destination place for ice cream in NEPA. If you like ice cream, then your only problem here is choosing. Prices are fair. Ice cream is top shelf. Portions are good. Start with a "single" until you know you want more. Half gallons are still a half gallon and not full of air either. You would think they own the cows. Oh wait, they do. And pictures are on the wall to show the farm and it's stars. Service is good. They can get slammed on warm nights but you don't see the help standing about. Consider the ice cream pies and cakes. Numerous flavors include seasonals. Dedication for the asking. You haven't had the full experience without a turtle pie. That's worth the drive itself. Trust me. I should mention the milk. Skim is their specialty. Seems they need a lot of cream for something. If you want to use it low fat milk and just can't deal with the blue stuff try this one. Warning: you cannot go back. This is seriously the reason I can't move away. This is the outlet that supports a family dairy farm... which has a store too. They sell only what they make, from their cows fed mostly stuff they grow. It is the most completely vertical business that I know still exists. They are as completely in control of product quality as can be and you...
Read moreLet’s start with the service. ALWAYS pleasant and eager to answer questions. Very quick transactions. Generally enjoy just being in there.
I purchase the 1/2 gallons, an incredible value. Flavors I’ve tried include Teaberry, Cookies & Cream, Confetti Cake, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Snoopie (vanilla ice cream with brownies), Charlie Brownie (chocolate Ice cream with brownies and almonds), Caramel Sea Salt (a tad too salty, good to mix 1:2 with other adjacent flavors), Apple Crisp, and Banana. My favorites were the Teaberry (a unique flavor local to the region, creamy with a light wintergreen flavor, though if the banana flavor is any indication it’s likely REAL teaberry is used), though it’s probably not something I’d buy again, as well as the Snoopie which I will more than...
Read moreWe love Manning’s and have gone here for years. We spend every summer weekend getting ice cream from our local Manning’s. Today was the worst experience for service. We arrived at Manning’s Clark’s summit at 8:40PM. There were 20 minutes till closing and the girl behind the counter was fed up with people walking in the store. We understand it is close to the time of closing. However, she ripped of the tops of the ice cream containers and flung them across the room, sighed numerous times as we ordered our ice cream. We asked for ice cream in cups with lids, however, no lids were given as she was visibly was angry with our simple request. This isn’t the first time we have had poor service due to angry people behind...
